Way Too Slow in the Heat. Again!
Way too hot to have 2-1/2 hour front nine rounds. Tees off in the seemingly empty course afternoon, when the guy starting the rounds said “it’s pretty empty out there. You should be done in 3 hrs if not less. Just two zones and three zones primarily.
Repeatedly an issue here with NO rangers. Never saw one out here ever. I keep forgetting this fact while I’m avoiding this course for 3-4 months since last time I had the same experience here.
Hire a Ranger. Simple.
Who cares about the rest of the course review when you have to head in on 11 tee cause there’s 4 groups visible in front of you and it’s 95* out. 🤷🏻♂️ Almost 3 hours after teeing off on 1.
Great course
Course is in fantastic shape. Greens were good, practice area was good, beverage gorl was nice, cart guys were awesome as well as the starter. .
Rio Great Value
Rio Pinar is in the best shape of any course in the Orlando.
First time playing this course . It did not disappoint
From the driving range to the putting green to the practice area . All were excellent . Course conditions was also in excellent shape
If I lived closer to this golf course I would highly consider becoming a full time member .
Looking forward to my next trip to Rio Pinar
Remains a classy golf course
Rio Pinar is in great shape. New ownership has kept conditions top notch, and the layout is challenging even though it is not a tight course. The clubhouse has been done over to a higher quality, the practice range is high tech and top notch, and the staff is professional. What more could you want?
Orlando's hidden gem
We've played Rio many times. Since the new ownership has taken over, this course has been phenomenal. Yesterday's round was no exception. We teed off at 9:14 am and we finished just before noon. The course was in fantastic shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all perfect. You can still see areas that are out of play where improvements are still being made, but other than that I can't say enough good things about this course.
Rio Pinar
First time for Rio Pinar. Has a pretty storied history of hosting the Florida Citrus Open. I enjoyed the course. Greens in good shape. Nice layout. Surprising wasn’t too busy the day I played. Good value for the money. I will return.
Best play for your dollar
Best play and course condition I’ve played in central Florida so far. I’ll be back
Great course
I love Rio Pinar. The course is well maintained and has a variety of practice amenities. My only suggestion for improvement is the gps carts. They slow the pace of play tremendously. The restricted areas need to be reduced in size and marked with signs. Sometimes even the fairway (non par 3) is “restricted “ according to the cart. The cart shuts down and will only go slowly in reverse. Every time my son or I hit a ball in the woods, we had to walk 20-30 yards to get it. If we were planning to play from the woods, we’d have to carry our clubs and hope we brought the right equipment. Pace of play would improve dramatically with some tweaking to the geofencing.
More Water in a Desert
I teed off on Saturday at 11:27AM with my teenage son. There was no water anywhere on the course and not once did a cart attendant come by during the four and one-half hours our round took.
The first time we ever saw the cart attendant was on the 16th hole, where she was parked in the woods looking at her phone. (See attached photo.)
It's unconscionable that a course in Florida would not hav any water available anywhere on the course or not have a cart attendant working on a weekend in the middle of the day. Do better Rio Pinar, even the Winter Park Pines has water coolers in the middle of their front and back nines.
Le parcours, le personnel et les installations sont top
Tout est parfait pour une excellente journée gokfique.
Nous revenons demain 11 juillet avec 2 amis golfeurs pour passer un bon moment.
Rio Pinar
First time. Really enjoyed this course. The layout was good. The greens were really nice. The amenities were very well done as well. I will plan to play this course again.
Good remake
All was good; first 6 holes in an hour last 12 in 4 however; not sure what happen, my cart shut down and I missed one hole but is what it is cause staff did make a few accommodations for my older but very good golf pal.
Course Conditions Very Good But....
I really like R.P. The staff is always considerate and attentive and the course is always in great condition. One major flaw and I hope that management remedies this problem quickly. NO water to be found anywhere on the course. For someone who has lived and played these Florida courses for over 35 years I can't ever understand how any course can justify not putting coolers or fountains at the rest stations. Even though the course wasn't exceptionally crowded, everyone of the golfers looked to be wilting in temps in the 90's with high humidity. I started at 9:45 and had to really push myself (a real dumb thing to do) to finish the last 5-6 holes. They always have 3-5 people by the golf carts helping players and taking care of the carts. I can't see why one or two of them can't make the rounds and replenish coolers with water so no one passes out. It would be ashamed if they lose business over this but I'm going to think twice before driving over an hour to only survive an unbearable round of intense heat. Rectify this gents before something bad happens.

Dear U314165641739,
Obviously we did nothing right for your visit here and with no comments to assist us in correcting what it was we did then it is difficult for us to fix it...so...my suspicians is this is a review from someone who did not play the course and since we had some competitors last year try to do the same thing and bring down our overall rating, I will assume it is you again...so unless you actually played the course and want to maybe have some courage and leave a name or at least some comments then please stop doing the "One Star" reviews. If you are shy and wish to contact me directly, just email me at tjackson@riopinar.com, I am here 6 days a week!
