About
Pohick Bay Regional Park Golf Course in Lorton has been one of the area's most popular public courses since it opened in the early 1980s. Playing at Pohick Bay is like playing two golf courses in one, with a front nine that has long, tree-lined fairways and a hillier back nine that features a variety of doglegs and water holes. It is a definitely a shot-maker's course so be prepared to use some creativity and some thoughtful strategizing doesn’t hurt either. The constant up and down of the golf course provides uneven lies and a number of blind shots. The dramatic terrain also makes it a tough course to walk. Trees frame most of the holes, demanding accuracy but also providing a peaceful and secluded feel. Pohick Bay Regional Park Golf Course is popular amongst locals for being one of the most challenging and yet also one of the most affordable courses in the area.

Amazing golf course and Wonderful staff
Golf course is very good design. Very popular for many golf in the area. Staffs are wonderful and absolutely friendly. Also only $25 for replay, let’s do 36 holes everyday
The course look great on autumn colors
With the course looking beautiful on autumn colors, course played difficult for me. Maybe could have played a bit better though. The tees need TLC. Staff friendly. I would have wanted more control of the groups starting on the first tee so as not to get groups pact together on the 2nd hole.

Kudos to the maintenance crew for keeping the greens in very good condition
The cart path between holes 13 & 14 need repaired
Need to have some accuracy as the fairways are tree lined with slopes helping your ball to roll into them. The elevation changes keep it interesting. Enjoyed my day there.

I enjoyed the back nine better than the front nine front nine has some very hilly holes to start off with until you finish the fifth or sixth hole you’re playing on very pitchy ground when you come up to the six things improve and stay that way pretty much through the rest of the round it’s a fun course to play. It wasn’t in as good of shape as last time I played, which is understandable, since all the play of the summer look like it took its toll on the Conditions
