Zellwood Station & Country Club
About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Hole # 10 Photo submitted by webelos on 11/17/2013
Course condition
Fairways wide open and in good shape. Greens are super fast , grass in poor condition they have just been seeded. We were attempting to putt on 3 holes when the sprinklers came on, very poor timing. Are the sprinklers on a timer? If they are some body should be on course to turn off when players are on the greens.
2025 updatw
Course was in good condition if you are used to unlevel t boxes and greens that need some tlc. Overall for $25 for 9 holes is well worth it.
Didn’t seem like golf now
We are on vacation and arrived nearly an hour before our tee time to chip and putt. The guy checking us in wasn’t able to find our tee time in some book they have. We were in there computer and I had the confirmation number. But it was like they didn’t want us there. This process took nearly a half hour and he was answering the phone and helping other customers even though we were at the front of the line. They charged more than what was quoted by GN.
Then the course was so backed up that we didn’t get out until 1/2 hour past our tee time.
Had I not prepaid for part of it through GN and had time to go somewhere else. I would have left.
Awesome!
Beware of the Crater Corner from holes 12-16! Very fun course for a good price!
Great Elevation changes
Greens are in great shape. Lots of slope, probably too much for the average hack like myself. But a very beautiful layout for central Florida with all the hills and craters.
Solid
Solid course for solid price nothing fancy great staff
Great Experience
Course was great, challenging but great shape, greens were awesome and really fast, lots of undulating putts to deal with. The only issue was the greens wouldn't hold a well hit fairway shot in, not complaining, that's part of it. It took me a few holes to figure that out. Will certainly play there again.
Beautiful course
Zellwood Station was better than expected. Beautiful layout. Greens roll true. Great bargain
Love this course. Great time! Tim was awesome, very professional and friendly. Pace of play sometimes is slow but just come here expecting that and won’t have any issues
Hard pass
Don’t waste your time or money. I’m sorry but 3 groups deep to wait to play is crazy.
It's called wait for ur t time. People think if they run to first t box they won't have to wait. WAIT FOR UR T TIME.
Be patient. People going to first tee b 4 their t time thinking they get off early and backing up tee. Not good planning. Golf isn't a sprint.
Always a Challenge
Great course layout and the condition of the course was very good. The greens are in great shape and some of the greens are relentless based on the pin position. This course is always a challenge, especially around the crater. Staff is friendly and the facility is nice.
