About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Eagles Pointe
The grass needed to be cut in the fairways. Several greens were severely burnt. For what it cost, I was expecting much more.
We fully agree and we have closed the course in order to fully focus on restoring conditions. We appreciate your feedback and have a great day!
Great rates
The course was in pretty good shape seeing all the storms that have been passing through. Priced seemed fair to us. I would golf there again!

Meh, needs better maintenance.
Greens were super slow. Tee boxes, rough, fairways, greens all needed to be cut shorter.
Overall, not worth the price. Staff was great though.

Great course…friendly staff!
Great course! The staff were friendly and the pace of play was fantastic. They didn’t try to squeeze people into m by placing tee times too close, allowed for us to play at a steady pace without waiting and without being pushed. Will continue to play this course!

Course in fair condition.
Cart paths need some work. Also the course needs some TLC. Sand traps were bad.

Just AWFUL
Don’t know where to start:
Most tee boxes had grass as tall as the rough around them or had tire tracks that ripped up a lot of the grass.
Fairways had more cut grass laying on them than good evenly cut grass. Most drives that hit the fairway would only roll about 10-15 yds because of the clippings.
You had to putt over dead grass/dirt patches as well as tall thick patches of grass.

Boring
Every hole feels like the same as the last one. The turf is weak and doesn't hold the ball well. Greens were spotty and slooowww. Very disappointing for a Davis Love III course.

A great value for the price!
I am a lousy golfer still trying to break 100 .I was on vacation, this coarse was very good for me and had very good rental fees for clubs too!
I would definitely play here again!

Decent course
This was a decent course in fair shape. It did play a little long from the senior tees. It is a very pretty course.

Poor Greenskeeping
Can't chalk my poor round up to the course...but was very unimpressed with the greens. While i understand this is a vacation course and usually more $$, the greens were beyond under par. It was wet which for sure made a difference, but really felt the bumps were inconcistent and really affected score. Had several 12ft birdie putts that bounced left and right (no idea what would happen) really giving no chance. Apart from the greens the course was in good shap with multiple different variations of holes.

What could have been
What looks like a nice course in years past has fallen on bad times. The course conditioning was poor with traps not tended, grass cut right after heavy rains and no restrictions on carts when it should have been cart path only.
Whoever cut the grass must have been going 20 mph with uneven, scalped areas all down the fairway. Cart was very sluggish and no water in any of the stands. The restrooms had black water in the commodes.
Nice layout and I might play again but not at that price. A nice Davis Love design.

You Get What You Pay For
You can tell this course was nice at one time. Cut grass in rough, weeds in sand traps and generally poor upkeep.

Hard start
Starting with a long par 5 at 7am was tough. The back nine was better for me and we got in the round before it got too hot.

Fun Track
The course was fun, greens were in good shape. The Fairways were well maintained, and honestly the fact that 7 days earlier a Hurricane Elsa was there and dumped like 10 inches of water .... this course was in Great shape.

Not What You Think
Course layout by Love III is fun and would be enjoyable if it was in playable condition. Granted the hurricane went through about 6 days earlier but many of the surrounding courses didn’t look anything close as bad condition as Eagle’s Pointe. Every tee, fairway and green was in poor if not playable condition. This was not due to the hurricane this is poor maintenance and lack of funds. I only took one photo to show lack of work and attention by staff. The best hole #18 now that they have switch the nines around a 422 yards par 4 with what use to be a wonder left front bunker that is now a weed patch for more than six months… come on guys and you charge good money to play here. Don’t waste your money find another course close by.
