Located less than an hour east of San Francisco, the Course at Wente Vineyards sprawls across the lush, rolling hills of Livermore Valley. Greg Norman carefully crafted the golf course, creating one of northern California's most challenging layouts. The course incorporates three different landscapes: woodlands, grassy meadows, and mature vineyards. All throughout the golf course though, golfers will be faced with dramatic elevation changes that cause tricky uneven lies but that also means there are panoramic views to be enjoyed on almost every hole. The fairways and landing areas are narrow and require good club management. The prevailing winds add another challenging element to the course. The Course at Wente Vineyards' back nine holes are more demanding with the par 3s being especially memorable. It is a tough but fair round that will reward proper club selection and strategy.

They allow members to play a 5some

Pace of play was really bad . They wouldnt let us go past the 5 some. The 5 some were members and i guess if your a member then you can bend the rules. The round took 5.5 hours for us. Course is nice but be willing to stay for some time if you come here . Conditions are good and staff but marshall wouldnt help us on speed of play.

Aerated greens!

BEAUTIFUL course……especially if you love wineries! Only complaint is that I wish they would have told us beforehand about the greens…..might have waited until sll the sand was gone……will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful course even on a cold and windy wintery day.

I always enjoy playing this course when the opportunity arrises. The regular green fees are steep for me but I was able to get a last minute good rate online. I did have an issue with my golf cart shutting down because the GPS showed it on the fairway when I was actually on the cart path. I called the pro shop and said they were experiencing an issue with the GPS after the recent storm. The gril was always a great place to relax and eat but has not been the same since COVID.

Beautiful setting for course in excellent condition

Wente is a wonderful course to play. Situated in the foothills it has spectacular views with many holes lined by vineyards. For mid-February, it is in remarkably good shape. Play it and see for yourself.
