Wente is the most beautiful and challenging golf course in the San Francisco Bay Area. The groundskeepers keep the tees, fairways and greens meticulously perfect. The staff is attentive and friendly. If you want to spend a day looking at vineyards, rolling topography and navigating ideal course conditions then this course delivers an A+. I’m a 12 Index and this is my favorite golf course in Northern California. Play a perfect course while drinking delicious home grown wine. Cheers!

Course is a must play when in Livermore Ca!!!!!

I have played a lot of PGA venues all over the world and this one is in my TOP 25!!!!

This was my first time at this golf course. What a great surprise! The condition of the fairways were fantastic the greens were nice, with the exception of some small aerification holes. Pace of play was great I teed off at 2:40 and played 3:45. Got a great deal from golfnow.com. Staff was incredibly helpful. The layout on the front nine is traditional and a lot of fun even for advanced golfers. The back side is a little more tricky. Playing with Two Fellas that knew the course helped with certain shots. The views were amazing although the wind was crazy at 25 miles an hour. Overall I will return, enjoy more wine, and enjoy the golf course. This was a great surprise. Actually played the next day at Poppy with a Marshall from Wente. Two great courses but Wente gets the win on these two days.

Course is great. Great shape, greens were fast but fair. Fairways were awesome, tee boxes were okay. Really hot out, could have used more water jugs out there but all in all great course, little pricey but fun to play once or twice a year.

Played this course a few years back and was on vacation from the east coast and decided to go back. I really find this to be a fun and challenging layout and especially love some of the holes on the back nine. Found a Hot Deal on Saturday afternoon and combined with the Memorial Day 25% off so I played for $60, which was a great value for this course. Tees, fairways, and greens were all in great shape as I remembered.

I showed up about an hour early as a single and they told me I could go out earlier. The course was pretty empty, especially for Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Went out as a single and played two balls on each hole. Didn't catch anyone for 15 holes and then had to wait behind a few foursomes but still finished in just over 3 hours.

I would definitely recommend this course and hope to play it again in the future.

It was a quiet day out, perfect weather, never saw a golfer behind us.

Course was fun and challenging but very very slow. I was five and a half hours in and had three holes to go. I ended up leaving.

A great layout and amazing views. I really loved how the holes all seemed to challenge you to decide to go for it or play smart. Hole 10 gets you way up on a hill and you drive to a 285 yard green perched on another hill. It was so fun to play. I don't think walking is the way to go though. The hills would make that almost impossible.

This was by far the most beautiful course I've played.

Awesome Greg Norman-designed course with lots of panoramic views. Tests pretty much every club in the bag with elevated tee shots and interesting angles into greens. Started in the afternoon on a Saturday and got 36 holes in before dark, great pace of play on this particular day and really nice weather (not many people out there this afternoon). Greens had just been aerated so they were pretty sandy and slow as expected, but they still rolled pretty true. Fairways were in great shape. Would definitely come back to play again.

How does a course of this stature not have enough carts? We showed up 2 hours early, wanted to warm up on the range and eat lunch, the driving range is about 1 mile up the hill, they didn’t have a cart or a stsff member to give us a ride, walked 3/4 of the way up before someone offered me a ride the rest off the way, walked all the way back down, the restaurant told us 45 minutes for a table, called us 1 and a hslf hours later, we were on hole 3 by then. Course was ok, service was by far my worst experience in the last 5 years, as unprofessional as it gets.

Course and facilities were terrific. Equipment and pace of play was below standard. There were no carts available when I arrived and the cart they gave me only had a partial charge so it had to be switched out before the end of the first nine holes. Clubhouse meal selections are very limited.

What a great course to play and the experience with the course views and staff were great. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Breathtaking views and fast greens made me feel like I was playing on a PGA event course. It is pricy but I will be making it a normal stop twice a year.

Fabulous course! Enjoyed the challenge of golfing in the mountains! Well laid out course!

Staff was great, especially the course ranger.

I will keep it simple. This course is beautifully kept. The layout, scenery and weather was perfect.
