The Course at Wente Vineyards

Great golf course. Always in very good shape. Staff is helpful and courteous. Our foursome was a little bummed that there was a half hour wait to sit on the patio to get drinks after the round (on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 PM.).

Never saw the drink cart?

Only saw the Marshals on hole #1. 2 of them? Does it really take 2 to start people off?

No Tees and limited balls on the Range? Charging up to $100+ a round and no Tees with your name on them? The mini gold bags should be filled with back-up range balls so you can help yourself.

Drove cart onto one of the fairways not knowing we couldn't and the cart died. Dead in the water??? Call the clubhouse and no-one answered? Tried reverse...didn't work? Then after 10 minutes another golfer said to try reverse. So we did that again and we were able to get the cart back to the path. Why do this to people...ruined our experience trying to push the cart up hill???

Drive out to Livermore to play 12 years ago and it was just as good yesterday. Fantastic staff, great facilities, craft beer on tap and a short walk to the tasting room! The golf course is a fun track with some very difficult shots but always scenic sand greens rolled true. Highly recommend!

This is target course at its finest. Rich for my blood but definitely an awesome course.

Went out as a single and quickly got paired up with a member. The tee boxes, fairways and sand traps were in excellent conditions. The greens had just been irrated and it showed. The clubhouse told me as much and gave me 2 coupons for a future visit. My member partner had to leave after 6 holes and I was able to jump ahead of a few groups and finished in just over 3 hours. I played from the white tees and most likely will play from the blues on my next visit. I shot an 86, but could have easlly shot an 83 if the greens were in true form. I saw the Marshall a few times and he was a true gentleman. Course had some beautiful views and was a treat to play.

Outstanding course conditions given how much rain we have had. Excellent staff, attractive course with lots of variety and challenges. Will return when it's warmer out.

The Course is close to my home, but I've never taken advantage of it.

We have a group that travels regularly to golf. None of us had played the course before but had heard good things about it. We could not have been more rewarded for the drive than the course at wente vineyards. From the immaculate practice area, to the professional staff the first impression was excellent. The course was pristine, the tee boxes were well manicured, the fairways were tightly mowed and green. The greens were firm but receptive, fast and true. The course has everything you could want in a round of golf. Elevation changes,risk reward and some of the best views around.

If you haven't played it I recommend you book your time now and go enjoy some of the best value golf around. We are already planning a return trip

Great Staff, carts are like driving your couch around, and a fun layout. I enjoyed this track but I feel like it's way overpriced for the quality/value. You can pay less than $100 on a weekend at 10 other courses in the area that are all just as nice.

I played this golf course a couple of days ago and they never bothered to mention that they dumped a ton of sand on the greens and that the greens were unplayable !!!! I understand what top dressing is but they dumped a ton of sand and just left it on the course, it was like rolling the ball in a sand trap. I believe that if the course is unplayable, then they should at least advise the players. I drove over 2 hours and it was too late in the day to cancel the round and drive somewhere else.

Loved it. Unique setting, beautiful views, fast, but true greens, tough, but fair layout. Good twilight rate and pace of play. During a week where I played Pasatiempo, Pebble Beach, and Harding Park, this place held it's own, in it's own way. Enjoyed it so much I may play it again today!

Wente golf course is wonderful. The layout is great. Greens roll true. Great views. Red tail Hawks everywhere. We saw a eagle too!!! Everyone needs to play wente. First class place.

Great layout and course conditions. Entertained a client and he was equally impressed.

Pace of play a bit slow due to challenging course and tough wind! Scenery is absolutely fantastic with the vineyards and elevation changes. Plenty of wildlife running around and flying overhead.

Put this course on your list!

Generally, Wente marshall patrol is present but nowadays they are more concerned about patrolling in/out of fairway than enforcing the pace of play. Over 5 hours and 40 minutes to complete a round of golf on Saturday. That shouldn't be for the course charging over $120 for the green fee. We waited on every tee shots and approach shots except for the first hole.
