Excellent. The best public course in California north of Monterey.

Course was in great condition. Pace was great, no waiting!

Greatest course I have played so far. The elevation the scenery the drive. Even the sand in the bunkers was incredible. Driving range location was nice. Range balls are included in the round all you can hit. The drive up to 10th tee was very nice being that it is there version of Lombard street in San Francisco. Highly recommend this course.

Starter failed to call me from the excellent range as promised, so some local regular took my spot. Had to then wait on 1st tee while "my 4" some played slowly in front. But, on 2nd tee, marshal came to my rescue and took me to the 4th, paired me up w/ another single....moved pretty well and played holes 2&3 after the 18th. Good marshal (creative). Wente is a beautiful course (very scenic and natural--beautiful oaks, canyons, vistas etc.) w/ an interesting layout, especially the back 9. Course and greens were in very good shape despite the hard rain 2 days previous. Very nice sand in bunkers. Is a long drive for me (from SF), but I consider it a special treat to play here.

Excellent course conditions, subtle greens without extreme undulations. Good mix of risk/reward and pacing. Winter rates are an excellent time to enjoy this course.

Me and my friends got out a bit late in the afternoon so we didn't get to play the last 5 holes but we really liked the finish and layout of this course. The personal was really helpful and i warmly recommend this course.

The multiple tee box locations will challenge even the most skilled golfer.

Such a beautiful setting and awesome Golfcourse. Great layout except for hole 10 pin placement yesterday - grounds crew must have been grumpy. Love this course and everything about it.

This is one of my most favorite courses in the Bay Area. The lay out and scenery are stunning, the course is always well maintained and the round is challenging.

It's one of the best course in SF Bay Area. Great design with good condition. Beautiful view surrounding by foothills and vineyards. Will play again and again.

By far the best course in the Tri Valley Area, tough but fair is what I like to tell friends, 1st. hole is your best chance for a birdie so take advantage of it. Great views, free range balls, every hole gives you something to think about in terms of which shot to play. THe pace of play is usually good, they don't stack people up too tight. A lot of people think this course is private, but it's public, and you can usually find some kind of deal on golfnow, or at Costco. The food is great, and the Grille after your round is a great place to enjoy a beer or glass of wine overlooking the 18th. green 5 stars for this course

but unlike Pebble you will want to go back to Wente again and again.
