About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Great experience
Challenging course and very scenic. Lots of bunkers and water. Friendly staff. Only negative are cart paths that are quite rough
Nice Course
Course was in good shape for November. Green fees were quite high compared to what we pay in Canada. Sucks that they gouge players from out of town.

Best course played in Hilton Head on our five round golf vacation.
Greens were true and fast. Layout was my favorite. Trees, water and sand all played in your decision making. but generous enough if if you are a bit off the mark. Loved the fact they teamed up twosomes. Played in four hrs. Staff was friendly. You get what you pay for here.
Good experience
Course was in good shape and played in 3 hrs and 30 mins. Price was steep but every decent course here in HH is overpriced compared to what we're used to in Canada.
Course was OK
We played the course on Nov . 7 and again on Nov. 16. The course conditions were good on the7th but only fair on the 16th. A tropical storm went through in between and the course is so busy that the fairways suffered from too much use. We had to wait at every tee boxes and also on the fairways. Not sure that we would play that course again.
Good Golf Course Experience
We played in the afternoon. Perfect weather, good course conditions and not crowded. Will definitely play it again when in Hilton Head. I used to play a lot with 14 handicap, but hadn’t played recently. Good playable course.
Pretty rough conditions
Bunkers were unplayable, cart paths were dirt and covered with pine needles and cones that were clearly there for months. Greens were slow but not horrible. The whole facility looked tired.

Fun Day
We enjoyed this course. The layout was interesting and the course was in decent shape, just a little rough around the edges. The pro shop seems like a temporary setup, to be honest. There's not much in there.
