About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Still fun but tough
Good layout, enough challenge on many holes. Greens were pretty smooth but a little on the slow side. Plenty of variety on the holes, hit every club in the bag. Par 5s tough to reach in two due to soft fairways so it was a 3 or 5 wood every time. 18 is excellent risk/reward and green receptive enough to hold 5 wood.

Bear Creek offers good value for the dollar. I hope the Club continues the morning / beer/ lunch deal.
Bear Creek
Good overall experience. 4.5 hour round. Greens were smooth and nice to putt on. Saw a big gator on 18!
Quite green for winter season, nice greens
Beautiful and scenic golf course. Plenty of challenges yet quite playable for beginners. Nice driving range and chipping area.
Bear Creek Course
Fairways were dry and brown but likely because of time of the year. Greens were in decent shape. Overall we enjoyed the round (though played through intermittent rain) but we all enjoyed the round.
Nice day on the course
Course played well even after rain the day before. Staff were friendly and acting like they were glad we came. Will be playing here again soon
Fun and Challenging
We have played this course this the last three winters. It is always in pretty good shape, the pace of play is good, and if you pay after noon the price is reasonable.
Tons of doglegs
It was a pretty nice course. About every hole is a dogleg which meant a lot of irons off the tee. Greens were in pretty good condition.
