About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Bear
Good shape. I've played this off and on for 5 years. Greens have improved some each year. Like the layout. Challenging approaches.
My only complaint was that the golf carts were filthy. Looks like they haven't been cleaned for a long while.
Love the course
In this price point its one of the best I have played here. It was great. Really nice conditions and greens were very good. Really liked the course layout. Lots of doglegs makes tee shots very interesting. Definitely gonna try to play it again.
Just Okay
Was a good layout. Not lush fairways. Lots of traps. Friendly staff. Good price on Golf Now
Course is good for beginners
In the area for a mini vacation. My wife is a beginner and I wanted a course that would be fine for beginners. A bartender in Hilton Head recommended Bear Creek. It was a good course for my wife to play. We had a good time, we were not rushed and the staff was very accommodating.
Nice course great place to play with the wife.

Bear creek course
Staff was fantastic! The course was in really good shape for time of year . Can’t say enough good about the clubhouse staff and bartender/ snack bar manager. He went out of his way to take care of us . They really honor our country’s veterans. Thank You ! We will and are definitely returning..
Great layout, unfortunately short staffed and a little tired!
Truthfully had an awesome afternoon. Although we were behind a couple of "deliberate" foursomes who eventually let us play through, in it's peak Bearcreek must have been a treat. Proshop and grill closed up early, seems a few employees have not been replaced. The 3 staff members we had the privilege to chat with were outstandingly pleasant.
Great value for the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our round. The course was in good condition and staff were both helpful and friendly. Food was very tasty. The greens were playing slower than some of the other courses we have played in the area but were true and looked great. We have booked another round.
Well designed and maintained course
The greens were a bit slower than I was used to. The fairways were perfectly maintained. The layout is excellent. Hole 18 especially was very nicely done with an excellent approach to the green with a good layer of difficulty.
Very nice Course
Course was in excellent condition, nice layout, very good value. Would play here anytime and recommend it to anyone.
