Bear Creek Golf Club

Plenty of tees to play from to get the right yardage for all players. The course has a great layout. Plenty of traps and some water to challenge you. The course was in great shape. The greens were true and fast. The tees and fairways were in great shape.

I've played this course twice before a few years back and it is one of my favorites on the island. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Love the layout with a great finishing hole.

Will definitely play again.

First time back since 2017 and 2018. In all fairness this track sees a lot of rounds. What it doesn’t receive is tlc to help it recover

Fairways were scuffed up. Divots left by golfers don’t get repaired by staff from what I saw today. Greens were hairy and slow. First cut around greens played like Velcro. Traps ranged from hard pack to good. It’s too bad because the course has good bones.

For another 10-15 dollars there are a handful of other tracks in better shape. Old South for example.

I looked forward to playing this course on my last day at Hilton Head and I did enjoy it. The course layout is great and can be as challenging as you like. It was a little difficult to find our way around because the course could us better signage. There was no marshal to keep the pace of play moving so it became slow at times. There was no beverage cart for our entire 18 holes. And we were surprised to see that the cart path was not paved and following a rain from days earlier was muddy in many locations.

A lot of courses on the island are better values.

Overall everything was great the layout the pace the value and the pro shop were all good. The only problem was the cart paths because they were a little rough.

Olivia is an awesome bartender. She helped us before and after the round. Course needs ice/drink coolers for the players

Played early and got a head start on the crowd. Pace of play was great. No groups ahead of behind affected our pace of play. Conditions were good. Greens were moderately quick and very smooth. Fairways were good. Greenside bunkers were the one negative and had to be raked before the shot. Layout was somewhat difficult as most holes had a dogleg that forced me to layup. Overall enjoyable and would play the course again.

The course was in great shape, however the sand traps are in need of some work or sand. Otherwise, very nice and I would play again.

Don’t follow the gps. Ask the guard at security gate. Where the course is. Address puts you at the middle of an intersection a mile from the course!

Absolutely beautiful course. It has tight fairways that don’t always favor the right handed slicers of the ball. The gators will keep you on your toes.
