About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Nice course
Would have rated higher on the staff except cart guy seemed to have an issue. Good course for the money.

My wife stepped out of the golf cart into an overgrown drainage pit on the 9th hole and twisted her ankle, we had to leave to ice her leg. Told the starter and all he said was (oh well). No more golf this week.
Great Day
Played twilight in just under 4 hours with a 4some. Great value.
Excellent course for the money
We were greeted by friendly and helpful front desk people. The starter got us out early. The greens were fast but true. The fairways and sand traps were in good shape. A ranger stopped past a couple times and was congenial. I like this course.
Very playable for amateur golfers
There is a nice driving range, chipping zone and putting green for warmup. Course conditions were above avg for current season weather. We lost just a few balls!

Staff friendly and nice practice facilities. Course was very nice and challenging.
Cool February Day
The course is a good test of golf with fairway and greenside bunkers on most holes,. Course was in good shape for winter conditions and no overseeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome. I would recommend the course to friends and plan to play it again soon. We did not use the off course amenities during our round.
Dormant season
We’re use to green Michigan courses, but I realize that’s the way things are at this time of year. Greens were in good shape!
