About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

A wonderful course to play in Hilton Head
The course was in great shape, and realty suited to our style to have some but not a ton of water hazards. We really enjoyed. It was challenging without being frustrating.
Played this course in January and have say it was in excellent condition and a very helpful staff
The course has some interesting holes.
Staff was great, very friendly. Some Fairways were very thin grass, tight lies. Traps were generally in good condition. Greens were mostly good condition Some were bumpy.
Very nice all around
Staff was friendly - especially the starter. Nice facilities, course was in very nice condition. Greens were excellent, fairways and tees were in good shape. We had a nice round in less than 4 hrs. I HIGHLY recommend! We will definitely return.
Bear Creek
We have played this course when we come to Hilton head it is definitely on our to play list. It is always in good shape with as much challenges as you can bear.
The fairways are tight the greens are fast and true you will definitely get your money’s worth and want to come back for more
Great find
Bear Creek was wonderful. The course was in great shape. The greens rolled beautifully. The staff was extremely attentive. The greens fee included an excellent lunch and a drink. We especially liked the layout. Several doglegs made us think our way around the course. We enjoyed every minute and will definitely play here whenever we come back to the Island.

Overbooked
Played on Wednesday early afternoon. No carts at time of check in and course was overbooked. Took 3 hours to play 9 holes…. Constantly waiting to hit the ball. Gave up after 9 holes.
Great layout
Plenty of tees to play from to get the right yardage for all players. The course has a great layout. Plenty of traps and some water to challenge you. The course was in great shape. The greens were true and fast. The tees and fairways were in great shape.
