Bear Creek Golf Club

Rained very hard 30 minutes before we were off. Although it was cart paths only, the course drained extremely well. Greens were in perfect condition.

Staff was very friendly as was the restaurant staff.

Highly recommend this course. Play it every time I visit Hilton Head.

We wanted to play one more time on the island and took a chance on a new to us course. What a great round at 7:50 am. Just 2 of us and 3 hour round with lunch included. Great shape, interesting and good greens. We are definitely adding it to the favorites!

This is a terrific golf course. The layout is outstanding and I enjoyed the view of the plantation. Restaurant is limited but the refreshments were cold. Staff was friendly.

Condition of course was average at best. The bunkers were hard and somewhat unplayable. Yard markers were brick slabs in the middle of the fairways. Greens were just average. You get what you pay for.

what an unexpected day. Looked for a course to get in a final round at Hilton Head and found a listing for Bear Creek. $39 with a cart, lunch and a beer. Didn't expect much and was very surprised! Course was in good shape and an enjoyable outing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lunch was pick of the menu and the food was very good.

will definitely return.

you do not need a driver on every hole if you are able to get a roll in the fairway - you will have mid iron to short iron in.

Best customer service of my 5 days of playing golf in HH. This team really knows how to treat their customers. From the initial stop to drop bags to the club house for a burger and beer after the round. I cannot commend this group of people enough. When meeting with the starter he gave us a breakdown of the course and I was glad he did. Tough but fair were the results of the day. Will play this one again to appreciate the layout and hopefully be better prepared for some shots. Well Done Bear Creek!

Very nice conditions, friendly staff, tough golf course. GolfNow booking included lunch and a cold beer (or soda), so gave 4 stars for value. Have played three golf courses this trip so far, and this one had the nicest conditions.

I booked a round for my sons and I on the recommendation of a friend. We teed off on time and played a 3 hour and 15 minute round! The course was in excellent condition. One of my sons is a scratch golfer and it challenged him too. The greens rolled true and held approach shots. I would highly recommend this course.

We had an enjoyable round on Bear Creek yesterday, but, I have to say I'm a little suspect of the 5 star reviews of this course. The course is ok, but nothing special. Maybe the locals are frustrated by paying the extremely high tee times for the resort courses, so they over-rate courses that are more reasonably priced. The layout of this course is interesting, nut there is very little low-country ambiance. Also, nearly all of the fairways run out about 220 off the tee, so longer hitters will need to keep the driver in the bag on many holes. Pace of play was very good on front 9, but we ran into a foursome who was terribly slow on the back, and there seemed to be no effort to get them to speed up, even though we saw a ranger several times.

Bear Creek is lots of fun to play unfortunately we got behind a foursome of men and we were a twosome. There was a twosome ahead of them when we were on the first nine but never saw them again. The people behind us waited on us because we waited on every shot, except for by the green. It would have been so easy for them to let us through and we would have been out of their way in no time at all but instead they selfishly decided to not care. The bag drop guy said at least one was a member. Someone needs to explain golf etiquette to him.

We enjoyed ourselves. A beauty of a track. Taken care of. You can tell they are proud of their course. A typical golf community track The greens were, as were the others in that same area, hard and fast. Well worth the money.
