Dobson Ranch Golf Course

Had another great day on the golf course. Weather was windy and cool so made it more challenging than normal. Overall, any day on the golf course is better than a day at work!

Our round was good, expected that it would be slow, but the starter got foursomes off in good shape and there was very little waiting throughout the round. The pro shop staff is always friendly and helpful.

Bunkers could use a bit more sand but were better than other public courses I've played.

Only real complaint is about the people who play the course...some greens are like moonscapes because people are too lazy to fix their ball marks. (true for most public courses)

Course was in good shape, greens were fast but rolled well. Sand traps need more sand, seems like only 1/2 to 1 inch of sand.

Would like to commend the individual out on the course that guided our group around the medical emergency that occurred in the group in front of ours. Very professional and seemed to understand that it did impact our play for the remainder of the round and did not press us to play catch up. Well done!

The fairways and greens were really great. They put new sand in the traps recently, so they were a little dense and hard to get out of.

Fun course. Conditions were good. Would play again.

I have played Dobson Ranch several times and it always comes to the same issue, they over book the course. We were reaching 5 hours of play and still wasn't able to finish the course because it got too dark to play. If you are planning to play Dobson Ranch be prepared to play at least a 6 hour round.

I guess I'll never learn. I keep coming back to this course every couple of months expecting it to somehow right the wrongs that make this golf course more playable. I will admit, the greens were pretty good. However, the bunkers were mainly in poor shape, and the tee boxes were inconsistent (some shaggy, some too sandy, some not level). The main concern I have, and have had for well over a year is, the fairways are anything but "fair". It's a 50/50 proposition...you can hit fairways all day long, and still have to hit a high percentage of your next shot off of the "Dobson Dirt". Prior to the new management team taking over, the course used to be one of the best around. But, the folks who run this dog track are bent on creating a "top golf" style experience. The music, the party atmosphere and the lack of attention to detail regarding the golf course itself as opposed to the driving range, have made this "golf course" a joke. And don't get me started in the cost of a round of "golf" at this joint. I think if I saw a golfnow price of $20 to play this "course", I would rather spend four hours doing yard work. The best thing that could happen to this course, is for the city to take it back over. No hope for the team that runs it now. There needs to be a "Return Dobson to it's Original Glory" movement.

The staff is exceptional and the course was in fantastic shape, great round!

Another exceptional round at Dobson.Ranch. the course conditions are great, green conditions are fantastic. Staff all around are friendly and accommodating. This is a fun track that we keep coming back to week after week.
