Dobson Ranch Golf Course

We were in town for a wedding and we wanted to play a great course. REally enjoyed this course. Pace of play was quick. We finished our round in 4 hours. Course was in great shape. One negative was the sand in the bunkers. It is a dark brown sand and tough to hit a consistent shot from the bunkers. Staff was very friendly and a reasonable price for club rentals.

Dobson Ranch was a joy to play and the staff is stellar.

The course was ok. I would not play it again. Fairways very close together. Number ten is awful being right by the driving range - you better use a colored ball. Even if you hit it in the fairway you may not find it if you use white. Many, many of balls from the driving range in the fairway. Almost got hit twice. Greens are very pitted so you do not get a smooth, accurate roll.

Not a desert course so errant shots can usually be recovered. Conditions were good with greens being on the slowish side.

conditions were not so good. The course is very dry and tends to be less green than hoped for. The greens were also pretty well beat up. If you like Arizona golf ball roll, this course is at the top of the list. Play was slow due to the 2 guys we were paired up with. They played from the tips, but were senior-tees golfers. And, they took multiple practice swings on every shot and before we knew it we were ad,omished by a ranger to speed things up.

The course is a good value with upgraded off course amenities……. But at the end of the day, the greens at this course are really bumpy and REALLY slow. The overseeded fairways are great, the rough is dead Bermuda. Maybe they should spend more time and resources on the course and not food and beverage and driving range

Had heard this was one of the best values in this area of town and was not disappointed. The course is in good shape with fast greens. Best part of the experience was the pace of play. The staff here is serious about regulating the movement on the course and even though they were 100% full for the day, we moved along nicely.

Fully recommend.

For the value of money and playing in the middle of winter where most courses in Scottsdale are more than $200, Dobson remains a great value. The course is in decent shape, greens definitely have divot holes from people not repairing pitch marks. I enjoy it for a cheaper round.

Fun course and the coolest vibes. Everyone working there was so friendly, I can’t wait to come back and hang out for longer, seems like a really fun place to hang out and swing!

Dobson is my local course. I’ve played more than 10 rounds and it never disappoints. Fairways are kept clean and the greens always roll pure, which speaks loudly with how much traffic the place gets. Off-course, it’s gotta be the best in the valley for the open public. Putt putt, watering hole, practice facilities, equipment utilities, fun range area (that’s open late), and so much more. Even a basketball hoop for a post round splash. Prices stay in the median of comparable courses but their SmashPass offers some pretty solid deals. Gotta love Dobson.

We enjoyed playing with 2 elderly gentlemen . Whom both played quickly.
