Westbrook Golf Club - Lakes Course
About
The Lakes Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Westbrook Golf Club offers. Residential communities border the course but they do not interfere with the game. The course has a traditional design with a landscape that is accented with mature trees. Undulating greens and several water hazards add plenty of challenge to the course. There are also many strategically placed sand bunkers. The course finishes with not one but two signature holes, the 17th and 18th, offering a great end to the game. The Westbrook Golf Club facility possesses various practice facilities as well as a pro shop.

Great iron course.
I've played this course 40-50 times total in the last 4 years that I've lived in WBV. It's always well maintained, easy play-ability, you'll use almost every club in your bag, from Tee to Green there are challenges which will make it an exciting round. Good driving range, chipping area and putting green. I have never played 18 in more than 3 1/2 hours. I always recommend this course to other golfers.
fun place to work on your game
Lakes course is in very good shape,a few dry spots around the greens but nothing to bad, nice sand in bunkers and greens rolling true. Free range balls w/ tee time purchase which is a bonus. Have fun at Westbrook lakes!
Good spot for good golf
We booked because of the rate found online. It was very conveniently located and easy to get to from the 101. When we got there, the Pro Shop was amazingly polite and welcoming. We hit the range (included in price) to get loose and we were able to tee off when we were ready. Plenty of shade to battle the heat (we played afternoon in late July) and the course was open enough that we didn't have to wait for any shot the entire round. Fantastic experience for us.
Westbrook Village lakes
Pace of play was great, not many other golfers on course on saturday afternoon. The course was in fair condition, somewhat brown fairways, greens were decent. The bunkers were incredibly hard, so hard that you didn't even need to rake after a shot b/c no sand was disturbed. Course was very easy, every par 3 was nearly the same distance. You can play much nicer courses for the price.
Westbrook Village Lakes
Course was in good condition for this time of year.
The fairways have not quite recovered from overseeding. Greens a little on the slow side.
Summer is here
summer is taking it's toll here. Several brown areas in the fairways. the greens had been previously sanded and were still a bit slow. If you can place your shots this is an enjoyable course.
Pretty course, lots of lakes and fountains.
The more scenic of the two Westbrook Village courses, this course has more variety and is a little more difficult. I played in a threesome on Masters Sunday and we flew around in 3 1/2 hours. Greens were a little slow (maybe a 7 or 8) but very smooth and consistent. I could play this course frequently without getting bored.
Good value
Had a good time here. Watered fairways. They let you drive on the fairways, which speeds things up. Excellent greens. Interesting layout. Houses are not too close to the course. Will go back.
All good except the pace
The staff is friendly, the range and facility is superb, the course had a reasonable amount of difficulty and was in great condition. The pace of play was sad, 5 hours is too long and I never saw a ranger.
Very nice and challenging course
Everything about the course and facilities were great. First time playing the course and the 18th hole was very scenic. We started on the 10th hole.
We unfortunately didn't get to finish the front 9- the pace of play was unbelievably slow. We left after 3 holes and found each hole we passed on our way back to the clubhouse was backed up. Don't know if a ranger was out and about but it just diminished any rhythm due to waiting for every shot.
We will be back; everything else was great-want to see how holes 4-9 pan out.
Best # 9 and #18 combined on same course!
Great atmosphere and in good shape, greens were a little bare/hard, it will be tough in the summer. And it is not called "Lakes" for nothin' watch the water throughout.
Very nice greens
Always a nice course to play and the greens are rolling very firm and true. A tad slow pace but it was a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't a surprise.
Great Course and Great Value
I played the Lakes course and had a great experience. Got there about 45 minutes ahead of my tee time and hit some balls on the range; the range is included in the golf fee. I signed up as a single and was paired with 3 others, all nice folks. The course is moderately difficult, playing a bit over 6000 yards from the whites. The last 2 holes are really a challenge, and are great holes. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The rough is not watered, but you can still easily play out of the rough. The pace of play was amazingly good, especially so when considering that the course was full. We finished our round in a bit under 4 hours.
Very friendly
Course was nice and well kept. People were friendly.
