About
Grand Canyon University Golf Course (formerly known as Maryvale Municipal Golf Course) offers an 18-hole track designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. and built in 1961. The par-71 golf course measures 7,269 yards from the championship tees and is open year-round.
The Bermuda grass Grand Canyon University Golf Course gets plenty of shade during the summer, thanks to several onsite trees, and features flat and wide fairways.
The fourth hole, for one example, is a 160-yard par-3 where you'll have to shoot over the water - and past the brick wall that separates the green from the water.

Bunkers
Fairways and greens in good shape. This course has too many bunkers that are particularly penal. Will not play again
Good Track
Played twice in the past week and a very good golf course. Tough bunkers. One of the best values in the desert
Front 9 very slow. Some sort of tournament ehich locked up food service.
Hard hat course
Super crowded. Golf balls flying everywhere. Conditions are not great, and it’s an awful layout. Plenty of other courses to play in the area.
Fun
Course was in great shape staff is always wonderful and alway a pleasure to golf there. Cart girl Ree was fabulous! Keep up the good work!
University championship course
Nice course with deadly bunkers which were challenging. Enjoyed playing this courses. Very nice pro shop and amenities.
Slow, slow, slow
Started on time at 12:25 with the group in front of us on the par 4 green. Got up to the first green after our second shots and saw 3 groups on, or waiting, at #2. That pretty well sums things up. I left after finishing #14 at the 4 hour mark. I saw one marshall as I approached the tenth tee. He asked "how's it going." But kept driving and obviously did not care to hear anything I might have to say. Condition of the course was decent. Greens were in good shape but slow.
Nice course deep traps
Went off at 210pm the slowest 9 I have ever played 2hrs 45mins.
Slow pace but enjoyable
Many large bunkers. Nice pace greens. Lots delays due to slow play especially on par 3s. Good challenge. Reasonable price. Good range, chipping and putting areas. The staff were extremely friendly.
Great value
Course was in decent shape. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would play again
