About
Grand Canyon University Golf Course (formerly known as Maryvale Municipal Golf Course) offers an 18-hole track designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. and built in 1961. The par-71 golf course measures 7,269 yards from the championship tees and is open year-round.
The Bermuda grass Grand Canyon University Golf Course gets plenty of shade during the summer, thanks to several onsite trees, and features flat and wide fairways.
The fourth hole, for one example, is a 160-yard par-3 where you'll have to shoot over the water - and past the brick wall that separates the green from the water.

Great course for the money
Can't beat this course for the value. It is always in great shape and has a challenging layout.
Fast greens and nice tee boxes!
Had a lof of fun playing there. Nice tee boxes and fast green, i dont need anything else to be happy.
First Time
This was a fun course. Fairways and greens were pretty nice.
Definitely not worth $120. But is there any reasonable priced golf courses in AZ?
This course feels like a nicer Dobson Ranch.

First time at GCU
Course was in great shape. My issues were that first, the pin placements were set for a tournament that morning, so they were all behind bunkers and in the edges of the greens. My second issue was the fact that they had neither gps or a yardage book. I was playing with 2 other singles who were new to the course and all day long we were hitting drives that we thought were in the middle of the fairway, only to be in a fairway bunker. It was definitely a good day, but not a course that I will ever drive back across town to play.
Beautiful day on the course!
The only really negative things I can say, is that being a first time guest I had problems trying to find the tee box on a couple occasions. Also, only time we saw a ranger, was sitting under shade trees!
Driving range
very disappointed that i drove 1 hour to play with plans to practice before my round and the range was on mats only on a Saturday...
It is the high season and with a $100 rate it should have a real range available...
I will not come back without a real range...
GCU course review
Being my first time playing this course I had a little trouble estimating the distance to a lot of the fairway bunkers. Other than that I found it a fair course in pretty good shape.
Fun course
Fun course to play. Fairways and greens were in good shape.
Waited on most shots all day. Very slow. Waited for two groups ahead of us on a par 3 on the back nine.
Nice course for money
Nice course. Need distance stakes next to fairways. GPS in carts would take this course to new level. Playing behind groups of 6 or more was a bit frustrating. Food at club house was very good. Will play there again.
Noisy course
The course was ‘ok’. Very noisy street traffic and sloooow play! Finished 18 in dark!
