Continental Golf Course
About
The executive-length course at Continental Golf Club is a popular choice due to the friendly staff, convenient location, and challenging game. The course features undulating greens that are in excellent shape, as is the entire course. Unique mounding surrounds the narrow fairways. A drainage ditch and two lakes also come into play on the golf course. The signature hole is the par-4 18th hole, which calls for not only a tee shot but also an approach shot over water. The course plays fast but it is still quite enjoyable. Continental Golf Club also has practice facilities including a large driving range, putting green, and practice green.

Course in great shape
The course was in very good condition. Greens were perfect. The par 4 fairways were nice too. The staff are very friendly. Pace of play was excellent. I believe they will overseed in about 3 weeks.
The Gem of Scottsdale Golf for Beginners
I really like this short course to practice my game when it's getting rusty. I had never played here when I first learned the game and I wish I did because I wasted a ton of money playing tougher courses from tee boxes I had no business playing. I lost too many balls and broke clubs over my knee waiting time at expensive tough golf courses in Scottsdale! I shoukd have started here, got better and enjoyed the game. Now I'm a single digit Handicap and I still love coming here when I'm working on my short game or irons. The course is lush because of rain and it's right in the runoff area like Silverado and Coronado. Play here if you can't hit a Driver. Bring your girlfriend here if she just learning. Play more careful golf. Be honest about your game.
Fun course
Fun course and everyone was friendly. Donny was very friendly!
Have played here many times ... conditions continue to deteriorate
Lots of crabgrass with unkept areas, greens used to be a big strong point but some are now falling apart, I have to wonder whether they lost their groundskeeper as what used to be routine maintenance is being neglected. They have done a great job at leveling some of the bad tee boxes. We ran into a problem where a group in front of us came back from #18 and replayed the entire course for free even though I had informed workers there at the clubhouse of what was happening ... they simply lied about what was happening and did nothing and said they were understaffed, so if you want to play free golf (which I asked them about) just be 20-something and keep playing! I and my friends will not be back.
Horrible conditions - greens double as sand traps
The tee boxes were horrible. It was like hitting out of a grass alley. The greens were even worse. Putting was like playing a game of planko. Hardly anyone works here. Didn’t see any ground crews and they don’t have a beverage cart.
It’s disappointing because I golf here for the value but the course conditioner just awful.
Is it July in Arizona?
Love the course and speed of play was perfect. However I have to say something about the lack of drinking water and drinks carts. The drinking water bottles were mostly empty and we only saw a drink cart twice in 18 holes. I wasn’t looking for alcohol just a drink cart with water and Gatorade. This is very dangerous in Arizona in July and needs to be rectified or this course may find itself in legal trouble if someone gets into difficulties on the course.
Extremely disappointing
Signed up for a shotgun 2 man scramble with my son on a Sunday morning. Event was full and we were having fun, despite probably the worst conditions of any course I've ever played. Then we tried to make the turn back to #1 and they were adding tee times in the middle of the event. We gave up after watching the group they put in front of us which consisted of an obvious first time player, a child and a senior couple all use different tees. When I turned in my cart I asked the kid at the pro shop if they were really adding tee times in the middle of the event, his response was "I didn't do it". I highly suggest you avoid the frustration with the conditions, pace of play and staff.
Needs some TLC
Continental is a great course for beginning golfers. Lots of room to run the ball onto the greens and not a lot of bunkers or water hazards until 18. The greens were in good shape. The tee boxes need some tlc but it doesn’t matter too much because you are teeing the ball up anyways
Nice executive course
This one does not disappoint. I really like everything about continental great short course.
Decent Course But Not In Great Shape.
Greens were in good shape and fairways were mostly good. Some bare spots on the back nine. Many tee boxes were being re-done and that is good because they really need to be made level. Temporary tees boxes being used makes the course shorter than usual. Coyotes on the course and hawks overhead were the most interesting part of the day.
