Continental Golf Course

Marty in the pro shop was exceptionally rude. This is my 3rd time playing here and haven’t been able to play the full course due to pace of play. This time we picked the earliest tee time at 6:30am and low and behold, we had 2 carts in front of us and 4 pulled behind us at the turn. He blamed us for playing too fast while he was putting people on the back.

Played yesterday, not sure I’ve ever played a “worse” condition course than this! Tee boxes were terrible, fairways pathetic, greens ok. Don’t waster your money on this dog track. I remember when they actually cared for the course. Won’t ever play this again, zero stars!!!!

We were looking for a tee time for Sunday morning before our flight and this was the only thing available at 6:20 AM.

It did have questionable reviews however we did not read thoroughly into all of the Google photos and comments. We wish we had taken the time as we did after the fact and realized this is a common experience. Aside from having wild coyotes throughout their course attacking birds, we also had the pleasure of having Homeless individual sleeping on the course and then following us for our final two holes.

When we let the clubhouse know after around they were unfazed and said “that happens all the time”.

The clubhouse smelled like sewage and we did not return for the free breakfast which is included with Morning Golf.

If you head to the Google review you find your own information. We did not post to review there however can completely vote for the garbage throughout the lake and the upkeep of the course.

The course is in very good condition with recent rains. Very friendly staff. The course wasn't crowded. We played in just under 2 hours.

Had a nice morning out with a tee time before 0600. The fairways were in good shape and the greens very fast (even as they dried out).

Caution: they don’t mess around with their rough here. If you drive off the fairway you can count on 3” plus of turf to plow out of.

The course was in very good condition. Greens were perfect. The par 4 fairways were nice too. The staff are very friendly. Pace of play was excellent. I believe they will overseed in about 3 weeks.

I really like this short course to practice my game when it's getting rusty. I had never played here when I first learned the game and I wish I did because I wasted a ton of money playing tougher courses from tee boxes I had no business playing. I lost too many balls and broke clubs over my knee waiting time at expensive tough golf courses in Scottsdale! I shoukd have started here, got better and enjoyed the game. Now I'm a single digit Handicap and I still love coming here when I'm working on my short game or irons. The course is lush because of rain and it's right in the runoff area like Silverado and Coronado. Play here if you can't hit a Driver. Bring your girlfriend here if she just learning. Play more careful golf. Be honest about your game.

Lots of crabgrass with unkept areas, greens used to be a big strong point but some are now falling apart, I have to wonder whether they lost their groundskeeper as what used to be routine maintenance is being neglected. They have done a great job at leveling some of the bad tee boxes. We ran into a problem where a group in front of us came back from #18 and replayed the entire course for free even though I had informed workers there at the clubhouse of what was happening ... they simply lied about what was happening and did nothing and said they were understaffed, so if you want to play free golf (which I asked them about) just be 20-something and keep playing! I and my friends will not be back.
