Continental Golf Course
About
The executive-length course at Continental Golf Club is a popular choice due to the friendly staff, convenient location, and challenging game. The course features undulating greens that are in excellent shape, as is the entire course. Unique mounding surrounds the narrow fairways. A drainage ditch and two lakes also come into play on the golf course. The signature hole is the par-4 18th hole, which calls for not only a tee shot but also an approach shot over water. The course plays fast but it is still quite enjoyable. Continental Golf Club also has practice facilities including a large driving range, putting green, and practice green.

Good for the Short Game
I bomb around this executive course every couple of weeks to get in some work on my irons play. I can do 18 holes in an hour and a half and feel some improvement each time I play. Conditions are playable and lets me focus on just the irons and short game.
confidence builder
Although an executive course , many of the holes were challenging
Not what we expected
We were somewhat disappointed in our choice of this course. The tee boxes and fairways were dry and fairly hard. With the course layout with holes so close together we felt under fire. The fellow at the pro shop was not particularly happy or friendly although the beer cart gal and people in the restaurant were nice. Best thing we liked were the two gentlemen we joined up with to play the back nine because of a backup all round long.
Great way to spend a Sunday!
Enjoyed a beautiful day at Continental with family. FUN course for all skill levels!
This is a good course for practice
This course is not a country club. It’s a good course for people that want to play with friends or meet new ones. There are lots of bare spots between tee boxes and greens. If you miss the fairway. Fairways are good. Course gets tremendous amount of play. If you want to play early you’ll be able to play quickly. Other wise your round can be a lot longer. If you’re looking for something to practice your short game enjoy.
Great executive course
Continental Golf Course is a nice executive style golf course right in Scottsdale Az. Good iron practice and overall the course was in good shape.
It’s a Muni course
Pace of play was rediculously slow. They let back to back to back twosomes out when they should have paired them together. Starter and Bag drop personal were obviously inexperienced and only working there to get a paycheck. And no ranger to be found. Four plus hours to play a executive short course is rediculous. Course was decent and well kept for a Muni course.
Extremely slow pace of play
this course is not for a serious golfer. It is always slow. Our last round was brutal. There is no Marshall on the course so,you are in for a 5 hour round. The fairways are mediocre at best and greens very slow and poor condition.
This course is suitable for those learning to golf as there is no enforecementnt of any etiquette or pace of play. Never again.
forgiving course
Best driving range we went to with good putting and chipping practice areas. The course is good for beginners like me as it is forgiving if you can't put in the fairway on every shot. The greens were true and well maintained.
Nice level course
A couple of challenge holes with a few long par 3s.
Good for what it is
A straight forward par 60 executive course near "Old Town" Scottsdale. Lots of waterfowl reek havoc on the course (eg. lots of poop on some holes, digging holes and ripping up the grass) The course has a good practice facility. Greens are fairly true and fast. There are very few bunkers. However, most bunkers are hard due to water compaction from irrigation. Some long par 3's make the course interesting. The pace of play is generally quite slow for an executive course due to player skill, all the par 3's and short tee time spacing. Good for your short game if you can get a good price.
Fun Course To play.
This is a very nice executive course, had some good holes to get most of your clubs out of your bag. Has a couple of good holes for risk vs. reward shots, to make you think about the best choice of club & approach.
Pay for 18, but be prepared to play 7!
Ridiculously overbooked, or letting walk-ons join when they are already packed. Spent our first 45 minutes waiting behind group after group tee off. That got us through 3 holes. We gave up after 7, 2 hours later.. keep in mind this course is a par 60 i beleive..
