Continental Golf Course
About
The executive-length course at Continental Golf Club is a popular choice due to the friendly staff, convenient location, and challenging game. The course features undulating greens that are in excellent shape, as is the entire course. Unique mounding surrounds the narrow fairways. A drainage ditch and two lakes also come into play on the golf course. The signature hole is the par-4 18th hole, which calls for not only a tee shot but also an approach shot over water. The course plays fast but it is still quite enjoyable. Continental Golf Club also has practice facilities including a large driving range, putting green, and practice green.

Rough course!!!
This course has gone downhill since I last played it years ago. The guy with the fizzy hair who checked us in was terrible. Was unsure of our booking and when we were to tee off. They need a starter or a better way of sending people off. The course was overseeded in some areas but the areas that were not overseeded had not been mowed in weeks. Lots of nutgrass which is only going to get worse. Very doubtful I will ever be back.
Needs work
I have played Continental for many years but this was the first time in a while. The greens were is nice condition but that was about all. Sand traps were horrible, tee boxes very chunky. Positives were the greens seemed good, cart girl was friendly thought we didn't see her until the back 9.
Great value. Fee included breakfast.
Good course for beginners. Can't beat the value. The green fee was a bargain for 9 holes and breakfast was a real bonus.
Great course and value
This is a great course especially for those iooking for flexibility in scheduling. The staff is friendly. I must send a huge thanks to Donny who is a highly polished professional and extremely helpful. The type of employee who will go out of his way to provide excellent customer service. The guy even found and tucked away my rangefinder which I left on cart (not cheap) and realized after leaving course. That alone gets big marks in my book.
Not a fun morning
I hadn't played this course for a couple of decades, but decided to give it a shot based on some of the recent reviews. All I can say is, my partner and I both agree that this course was not in very good shape. The tee boxes were basically dirt and sand. And a lot of the boxes had a crown to them that made it extremely difficult to find a level spot to hit from. The fairways on some of the par 4's had bare areas that were very soggy. If you hit into one of those bare areas, it was basically like you were penalized for hitting the fairway. The greens were in good shape, except for all the craters from the golfers who didn't bother to fix their ball marks. I probably fixed a couple dozen of these marks during my round. This is not the courses problem. Just a comment about the clientele that were playing ahead of us, as most of the craters were fresh ones. The young lady that served us our beers after our round was the one bright spot of the morning. She was very friendly and cheery. Basically, compared to the course that I usually play, this course is very bad. And the price at my usual course is only slightly more for a more enjoyable round.
Continental
Great place. Always enjoy playing there. Employees are very friendly and helpful.
Course plays well
Continental Golf Club is a great course. Highly recommend
Contenental
My favorite short course! Employees are the best and extremely helpful.
Great Executive style golf course.
Course served it's purpose to work on my short game. Greens were in excellent condition. Tee boxes were really uneven and lumpy.
Good for the Short Game
I bomb around this executive course every couple of weeks to get in some work on my irons play. I can do 18 holes in an hour and a half and feel some improvement each time I play. Conditions are playable and lets me focus on just the irons and short game.
confidence builder
Although an executive course , many of the holes were challenging
Not what we expected
We were somewhat disappointed in our choice of this course. The tee boxes and fairways were dry and fairly hard. With the course layout with holes so close together we felt under fire. The fellow at the pro shop was not particularly happy or friendly although the beer cart gal and people in the restaurant were nice. Best thing we liked were the two gentlemen we joined up with to play the back nine because of a backup all round long.
Great way to spend a Sunday!
Enjoyed a beautiful day at Continental with family. FUN course for all skill levels!
This is a good course for practice
This course is not a country club. It’s a good course for people that want to play with friends or meet new ones. There are lots of bare spots between tee boxes and greens. If you miss the fairway. Fairways are good. Course gets tremendous amount of play. If you want to play early you’ll be able to play quickly. Other wise your round can be a lot longer. If you’re looking for something to practice your short game enjoy.
