North Golf Course at Sun City
About
Located just south of Grand Avenue in Sun City, Sun City North Golf Course's trademarks are the doglegs and large trees that are present throughout the course. It has many other challenges to offer including plush, elevated greens and numerous sand bunkers. Placid ponds also create water hazards that come into play on two holes. The well-maintained course is relatively flat with plenty of shade, making it enjoyable to walk. The Sun City North Golf Course facility has several amenities including a putting green and chipping area. There is also a fully stocked pro shop and full service grill and deli.

Slow play.
Pro shop informed players there was a ladies tourament in front and try to maintain a hole buffer,as they would get upset. Also, the pro shop sent out numerous five some, including the Golfnow group which was posted as a four some online. This added to the slow play.
pretty good flow
course was in real good shape. actually moved pretty well considering there were 5 somes and groups starting on 1 and 10. we had backups on 2 holes that lasted about 10 minutes. other than that it was prefect.
Nice course
Good value for the money. I will play there again.
OK for this time of year
I do not mind playing this course in the winter months (few options with all the snowbirds this year), as long as they do not put me in fivesomes. fivesomes is not recognized in the game of golf and should never be permitted on a course. It runs the pace of play and the rhythm for anyone that can reasonable play the game. I was stuck with a afivesome 3 out of the previous 4 rounds but with a threesome this time and was much more enjoyable.
Great course, played with same ball therefore very forgiving .
Unfortunately a 5 player group was ahead of us. They did not play “Ready Golf” as would be expected. Course itself was great. Nice layout, chalk engine greens and lots of sand.
Course needs management
Yesterday was the 2nd time in a row I had to tee off in a fivesome and 3 out of 5 times I have had to do so. Golf has never been considered as a fivesome, ever. The first time of the last 5 I quit after a few holes as two of the guys were looking for their ball on every shot and it took 3 hrs to play the first nine. Another time I quit after just 4 holes. It is no fun to play a fivesome and most of the time, like yesterday, absolutely I no need for it as it was not crowded. They tee someone off the front nine AND the back nine every 7 to 8 minutes and there is no group that plays out there that doesn't average 12 min per hole so they are guaranteeing a long back up. I have been there when there were 4 foursomes on a single par three. I had to transfer my bag and accessories into 4 different carts before I found one that would run. The time before last I drove up to the course and counted 12 carts across the street lined up for the back nine. I asked the golf shop attendant what in the world was going on. He said he did not know and had not yet called the next tee time for that hole. What it apparently been csused by was snowbirds crowding in to help insure they could get 18 holes in before dark. Someone needs to get in control of what is going on out there. Get less greedy and not book fivesome and tee 4 foursomes off the front and back every 7 or 8 minutes. It is no fun to play in these conditions and the course could be enjoyable if they had some reasonable management on the course.
Very good course for the money
The course was in very good condition. The greens provided a nice roll, can be challenging with slope and are in great shape. It is good course layout with variation among holes. It is a course for all playing abilities, but it can be a challenge depending on what tees you play. A very good course for the money.
Sloooowwwww Play!!!
Only got in 5 holes in 2+ hours!!! You couldn't even play golf because it was so congested, so I left my group and just drove the cart around the entire course. No openings anywhere and there were at least 20 Fivesomes and 10 Foursomes of 8o year olds ahead of me. Every hole completely jammed up! No marshals either! Not fun.
Sun City North
Course was in great condition. Pace of play was excellent even though we were a fivesome.
Great lay out
I felt the course managed tee sheet excellently taking advantage of double tee start pace of play was the best I’ve seen waited at two holes of eighteen. Great course conditions fairways were in good shape greens were excellent.
Nice course for retirees
Great course for old folks like me. Loved seeing lots of lady golfers out there...nice course for both men and women.
3 out of 5 stars
Course was in decent enough shape other than my feeling there was a bit too much sand in some of the bunkers I landed in. Pace of play was not good at all (never saw a ranger). Layout was spread out with no real signature hole but just the same I found it to be on par with the other courses in that Sun City circuit......
Fun, wide open course.
We really enjoyed playing this course. Met some great people while playing. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Will play again soon
windy and cold
the course is in great shape. the weather affected everyones play at times but we still enjoyed the day.
