About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

There no amenities right now because the new
club house isn't open yet. New one sure looks
great. maybe another month. Course was sure

Clubhouse under construction
Saturday play is a little slow. Rough is dormant Bermuda and doesn't offer much of a challenge. Otherwise, I say play here and have fun.

Clubhouse currently in a trailer. NO amenities.
Greens rolled like a billiard table due to winter's lack of growth. Rough is all hard brown dead growth.
Split Tees! BEWARE!!!
Played front solo in 85 minutes @ a leisurely pace. As I made the turn, BAM! There was a 5-some teeing off and a 4-some waiting. They told me they were scheduled to go off on 10 @ 1:07. I scratched my head and said I was never told there were split tees.
Went to clubhouse (trailer) and inquired. Waited on by a surly clerk and an even surlier women that they play split tees here and I should've known. I played too fast and was to wait 30-40 minutes. The dude never informed me of this when I checked in and were were NO notifications in the trailer stating this. He just shrugged his shoulders and grunted. The old lady made some insulting remarks. I WILL NOT RETURN!
ZERO stars for personnel.
Course in fine shape. My recommendation is only if you're okay w/split tee philosophy.
Clubhouse being renovated
They are currently renovating the clubhouse, the golf shop is in a trailer and the bathrooms at the turn are spot-a-pots. They said work should be done sometime in March. The starter/check in guy was pretty busy answering phones, scheduling tee times and calling people to the tee. That probably accounted for his brusque manner. He tried to put me in a fivesome. I raised an objection (fivesomes are an abomination IMHO). They put me in a foursome and it worked out fine.
Good Times on Sun City South
Fairways and Greens were in great shape. The sand traps have good sand in them and I should know because I put myself in six of them. Greens were fast and a little hard to read. Best part was the people I played with. I always enjoy the golfers on the Sun City courses. The clubhouse is under reconstruction so don't expected much there.

Great course. Fairways and greens in great shape. Only negative is some bunkers do not have enough sand in them.
Great condition!
Teed off in the rain and we were the only ones on the course. Played in 2 hours and 15 minutes. The course is in very good condition and the greens were excellent. Great value for your dollar.

Always enjoy the nice mix of holes, just wish the greens would hold good shots.

Always a pleasant round
Course looks great after overseeding. Surprisingly not that crowded for a beautiful weekday afternoon. Staff, particularly Chaz/Chas, always pleasant and accommodating. Best deal in Sun City.

Payed 18 holes in two hours today. Played as a single and the course was wide open. Course was in great shape. Very friendly check in. Look forward to playing it again soon!
Many obstacles about this course at this time
Staff was friendly but with fivesomes on the Course slow pace of play. This is tolerable but a couple of the fivesomes were very rude and extremely intimidating and aggressive to the point that for the safety of my wife, who was just wanting to enjoy a day away from cancer treatments, I picked up my bAll after the twelfth hoke and took her home. Never to return to thus course again as the allow golfers who have care about golf etiquette
