About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

Course in good condition considering no Clubhouse
Of course was in good shape already warned by GolfNow of no amenities the only thing don't book your first tee time off as a foursome and put 4 twosomes behind you and have Ranger complain of pace-of-play should have made the other two sums 4 sums so no Slowdown
Nice condition/no support facilities
For summer time , this course is in excellent condition compared to 90% of valley courses which are not maintained properly in the summer. However, their clubhouse was demolished recently in order to build a new clubshouse. As a result, food/beverage and a place to relax after your golf is non existant. Also, parking is minimal. If you just want to golf and go home, this is a nice place to play. Great staff.
Great 18 holes
Everything was perfect. My only complaint, staff was not friendly. But course in good shape. Sand in good shape. Course was big. Green everywhere. I definitely wouldn't mind playing here again. I really liked it.

everything was excellent.... they are still removing tree limbs from the last storm but the limbs are not in play.... not many golfers because 110 temps....
Course condition
Condition of course is ok for this time of year fair ways just a little wet very little roll compared to the other sun city courses.

Summer has taken a toll on the gras still like to play the lay out
recently aerated
greens were excellent fairways wet in spots by design to make course better for moderate temperatures.... had no problems with anything, course in great shape for our hot sun....

fairways and greens are good, rough is short but clumpy,in AZ traps usually not filled with good sand anyway this holds true on this course.
Enjoyed Our Game
This may not be the most challenging course we will ever play but the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. It all started with a sincere welcome which was much appreciated. They did everything they could to ensure we knew what we needed to know before we headed out to play. We were treated from the get go like their favourite regular guests. Nothing pretentious about this course. They even invited us to take our golf cart to the parking lot which made the whole club transfer thing a lot easier.

Wide well manicured fairways and fairly paced greens with a great pace of play made our golf outing a pleasant experience....
Good deal
All in all good. Bill on desk good. Only one problem - after one 4some let our 2some through early in the round, the next 4some didn't - mind you, although waiting on every shot we still finished in under 4 hours so not too bad.
