A Golf Course
This is a place you can play if you have no other options. Very flat, very local, conditions are not great. Pace of play was atrocious, no marshal in sight. Upside is the reasonable price compared to others in the area.
Staff is excellent and the bar area is nice.
Poor Greens
Most greens were bumpy due to missing grass. Be prepared for a long walk from the parking lot to the clubhouse. Other than that it was a fun day at the course for Twilight rate.
Nice layout
We enjoyed playing, a nice layout and the course was in good shape
Sand and more sand please
The course is very good for a muni. Would be my favorite if the greenside bunkers had a lot more sand.
Great staff
Starter is a fine gentleman helping a new golfer friend of mine. Thanks
Slow pace of play
Over 5 hours to complete, no Rangers on the course, had to call the club house when we backed up 4 groups on 11th hole, I have played the course over 75 times this was my worst experience.
The grass was green and the greens were fast
I love this course. It's homey, challenging, but fair in not making you pay too high a price for a bad shot. The food isn't great, but the people who work there are.
But I do hate the walk b/t 9 and 10 and 16 and 17. Isn't there a better way to lay out this fine course????
Good course, bad starter & ranger
I always like playing here but this is the second time in two weeks the starter has rushed our group up the box 10-15 minutes before our tee time. If you're going to send me out early you need to tell me when I'm checking in so I don't pay for a warmup bucket you're not going to give me time to hit. The ranger also chirped us on 16 saying we were an entire hole behind, meanwhile the group behind us was nowhere to be seen and when we got to 17 tee we had to wait for the group in front again.
Excellent deal
Course kept in real good condition. Its pretty basic - not a lot of trouble. Not a lot of pizzazz. But I did like it!
Greens are very flat which is a nice change of pace.
Very unfriendly course length for most women
The forward tees are 5759 yards. My wife is a good golfer but not a long hitter (hits drives maybe 160). She did not enjoy this course simply due to the length. I think she is very representative of most women. I think senior men in the 70+ age range might have a similar problem with the length. I highly suggest adding a 4th set of tees with a length around 5000 yards.
In general I liked the course, but some pin placements were on ridges and completely unfair. I consider myself a decent putter but here I 4-putted once and 3-putted 5 times
Great value
It gets a lot of play, hard to get a good tee time. Fairways are kept well. Greens reflect the tremendous amount of play.
Slow
2:45 front. Quit after 15 due to darkness. 5+ hour round is not acceptable. Saw the ranger multiple times. He said nothing and did not improve the pace at all.
Slow golfers in front of us
We had 2 golfers in front of us. One was walking and the other a cart. They would not let us pass through. Nice course , nice layout, just slow.
