Shalimar Golf Club is a nine-hole golf course in Tempe. The course is best for beginners but it has enough challenges in store to make it a great option for more advanced players who want a quick round. The layout is comprised of three par 3s and six par 4s. It weaves through a smattering of mature trees and across gently rolling hills. The small greens can be quite tricky, especially since there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along some. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, including the 155-yard fifth, which is one of the golf course's toughest. You'll have to pull off a carry over the area's biggest lake to a heavily bunkered, narrow green. Shalimar Golf Club's ninth hole is the most well known though, mainly for the island green. In addition to the water, there are also four bunkers surrounding the green.

Fun 9 hole course
This course is ideal for me and my game. It is always enjoyable and a good time. Please help save this course from the Greedy Apartment Builders that want to tear it down and ruin the neighborhood.
Good times
Love the layout of this course! It's usually slow and backed up, but you know that! I finally birdied the island hole #5. Hope the course stays around a little longer.
Closing
Course is shutting down so the maintenance on the field is suffering
Needs TLC
This course for a Excutive par 33 had some interesting holes but the course conditions were extremely bad. Needs lots of upkeep. Definitely not worth the $30+ we paid.
Fairways
The best part of this course was the bunkers. They had just trimmed, edged all the bunkers and they really looked nice. But the fairways were terrible. Little grass and lots of barestops.Definitely not worth the $60+ we paid.
Course is closing
After getting there people mentioned it was closing and course has the potential to be good but it’s clear they have given up and letting the course die

Reasonably priced for 9 Holes and the course was in pretty good condition.
Excellent course for beginners and anyone else. Perfect for family outings. Hate to see it go.
