Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Lots of elevation
Very challenging course with lots of elevation and some real fun holes. Wife got a hole in one on 15 so it’s now a favorite of hers.
Tried updated course
Played many years back when it was a dog track. New owners have been bringing course back to life. Challenging course with nice greens…I’ll play it again.
Challenging
The views are beautiful. Driving a cart is treacherous on this course. Not good for the average golfer. Lots of hill walking.
Sunridge
Have played the course several times. It’s not one of my favorites because of the layout. Course was in good condition.
Unique course
This course is a trip. Pretty challenging to near impossible on some holes. I wouldn’t play here regularly but every once in a while it would be a fun round.
Poor pace of play
Staff letting people go out earlier than their tee time no Marshalls to keep up Pace of play,ends up grid locked
Enjoyable layout
Layout very interesting, greens well-maintained, rest of course in need of funded maintenance. Would return.
A tale of 2 halves
Front 9 great, but back 9 a bit of a carnival. Back 9 goes up into the hills, with several holes with huge drops to cross fairways, two par 3s with either tiny, highly sloped greens or massive drops. Creative use of landscape, but too much. Also tee boxes in poor condition.
Fix the sand traps for a 5
Fun, tight, well maintained course that uses the elevation available very effectively. My only complaint is the sand traps: most of the bunkers were overgrown with grass and mowed to rough. The bunkers that had sand was so coarse as to almost be gravel.
Wonderful Views
Cannot beat views of surrounding area there are dramatic elevation changes. The tee boxes need some attention, but overall great condition. #16 lost ball middle of fairway. Enjoyed my round.
Great course thru 13
Great course until the 14th when you leave the valley floor for the Rocky Mountain Goat course. Three holes in a row that demand pinpoint accuracy in steep canyons that nearly always have wind. Not user friendly for the majority of players.
Wonderful Sunridge Golf
It’s a one of a kind course! Friendly staff, has lots of beverage options, and food. If you are looking for lessons you can ask for Dan Golf Pro.
It’s a beautiful course with a fun back 9!!
