Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Golf course experience
Happens to be in Tahoe in cold season and courses is close. I played in Sunridge 30 mins away and enjoy golfing with this course. Very challenging course and expectacular golf experience. I will be back again.
Hole marks and friendly staff
We all know that there is a lot of lazy golfers, but if you could fix the large ball marks on the greens, that would be great.!! I helped yesterday and like I always do by fixing about 1-3 on each green. Your staff is fantastic, thank you!
Trip
The course has a very interesting lay out. I would not recommed it for beginners. It is a target golf course.
OVERALL POOR CONDITIONS
Have not been here in a few months, sadly I remember why after the round. Overall maintenance of the course is weak at best. Most of the tee boxes are uneven and the tee boxes many without any green grass or in some cases just dirt.
Many tee areas have markers missing or are broken.
Trash cans when available, were over flowing.
The staff are all very nice but they clearly lack a budget or staff to maintain much less improve playing conditions.
Very sad as the course has an interesting layout with great variety on the holes. The greens are maintained better that the overall condition of the course.
Probably will not be back until improvements are made. Sad....

Course was pretty wet but the weather was fantastic, not too busy, fairways were in good shape and we just had an awesome day.
Unusual lay out.

Look elsewhere
This track is a complete waste. Pace of play, weeds/dandelions, along with various poor tee box/fairway/green conditions make this place a clear fail. This coming from someone that only paid $16 to play there and I still feel I was ripped off. Not recommended by this guy.
Awesome course
Sunridge is my all time favorite place to play. Great challenging course. It brings out the best in me and my wife.
Tale of two nines
Played after a big rainstorm and staff had the course cleaned up and playable. Front nine is a classic layout, great design, back nine is a little bit Disneyland. Course is not walkable because of a few huge elevated tee boxes.
Mixed feelings
Great Layout, but what’s up with the back 9 fairway conditions?
For $73 (morning tee time on a Wednesday), I was expecting better conditions.
And why no drinking water available on the course?
Course was in very good condition. A few greens had some burn marks but overall were in good condition. Water features were FULL. Had a great time.
