Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Beautiful and challenging course!
This course is so fun! with the front nine playing completely different than the back nine. The greens were and incredible shape for the most part..
A little rough conditions. Tee boxes were very dry. Not a lot of grass.
Played this course in early spring. Much better shape than it was in August.
Greens were in good shape fairways were generally good, however, there are many areas that need some improvement. Staff was friendly and helpful and the grounds crew left balls they found.
So much potential
The course has so much potential. I’m sure when it first opened up, this was a beautiful course to play. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be maintained very well. T boxes are not level, have bumps and are over run with weeds on some holes. Sand traps are mostly weeds and grass. I was very fortunate to get a great price through Golfnow so the course conditions didn’t bother me so much. If I had paid what the course was asking, I would have been very upset with what they normally charge. The course is target golf so if you are golfer shooting in the mid 90’s or higher, expect to loose a fair number of golfballs.
Great fun
Tee boxes were a little shabby. No sand in bunkers. Pace of play was ssllooww. No drinking water on the course. Even with all that it was a great course to play. Better bring your straight game. Will definitely be back

Too many dry areas, but overall good condition, a fun layout with hills and hidden water...
Always a good round
Great course for the money. I've played it a handful of times while visiting the area. The pace of play is great compared to Sacramento Valley. Pace of play has always been less than 4 hours.
Great scenic holes on both the front and back 9.

Nice staff, poor course conditions
The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. My biggest complaint is that the tee boxes were far from level, and the water hazards took up most of the fairways. Once again, excellent staff, and a difficult course.
First time back in 5 weeks
We were glad to see the course is improving. About 5 weeks ago it was in the worse shape that we have seen, it badly needed some watering. Right now, the greens were nice and so were most fairways, some still need more watering tho. Looks like some tee boxes are gonna be re-sodded soon, good!

Awesome challenge
Water hazards require strategic playing. Holes on the hills played over canyons are intimidating but playable. Love the challenge of this one of my favorite courses.
Fun course, as usual. Conditions are fine. Staff is fantastic.
