East at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The East Course is one of two championship courses at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Although it is less challenging than the West Course, it offers the same quality and entertainment. Golfers who aren't ready to take on the West will feel comfortable on the East. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra in the heart of the Silver Country, the golf course offers scenic views that complement the rustic setting. The layout is wide open, making it ideal for beginning to intermediate players. There are some long holes and a few bunkers but it is a forgiving course that is great for a casual round.

Good Deal for An Average Course
TeeOff Deal was nice. The course is at best an average course for the money. Many areas of the course was over watered and several places were swamp like due to the over watering. Saw several signs of deep gouges in the turf where the carts ran into swampy ground. My golf partner got his cart stuck (mid fairway) in muck and I had to help bail him out. Seems so unnecessary to waste water like the course does. Understandably, it’s recycled or waste treated water, but nonetheless an overkill. Especially in an arid area like Carson Valley and when the area is experiencing severe drought conditions, the over watering seems excessive and wasteful.
Golf
Course was in great shape, we had a great day on eagle Valley east. Greens, fairways were awesome shape, bunkers and traps need some love, but I'm not complaining AWESOME!
Ok
Ok for a muni. Will not return. Labor day round, 6 hours. Course in bad shape. Hamburger was excellent.
Great course
Enjoyed a great day at Eagle East course. Played slow as expected for a sunday. Course in very good shape with some water areas.
Course needs help
There are some holes on this course that are in terrible, horrible condition. I can immediately think of 10 and 18- there’s really no excuse for the terrible condition of those 2 holes. Also on 14 and 15 the grass clippings left behind combined with really high rough made it impossible to find balls hit into the rough. It feels like this course is being neglected when it could be a decent easy course to play for a decent rate.
Everything great except for traps
Greens, tee boxes and fairways in terrific shape. The sand traps were In terrible shape, grass, weeds, rocks, very little sand. Looks like they have given up trying to maintain the traps. The course is very wide open and very forgiving.
Good for the money
The East course is perfect for those learning the game or looking to introduce someone to the game. The wide-open layout makes losing a ball near impossible and the short cut rough allows for any shot to have a decent chance at being good. While the bunkers and OB conditions are lack-luster, the overall course provides an enjoyable experience and one to boost the confidence of players both high and low handicap. For the money, you cant beat this for a nice practice round.
Wet
The course is way to wet, puddles everywhere, cart paths need repair and bunkers are in awful shape. Doesn't cost much so that makes it easier to swallow.
Nice greens
Greens were nice early and nice wide open fairways. Some super lush areas and no bunkers but it's basically ground under repair so it's cool for the price and pace ... will be back for sure..
