East at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The East Course is one of two championship courses at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Although it is less challenging than the West Course, it offers the same quality and entertainment. Golfers who aren't ready to take on the West will feel comfortable on the East. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra in the heart of the Silver Country, the golf course offers scenic views that complement the rustic setting. The layout is wide open, making it ideal for beginning to intermediate players. There are some long holes and a few bunkers but it is a forgiving course that is great for a casual round.

Fun day despite wet conditions on sunny day
Pros: great staff service, tees and greens in great shape, no delays during the round
Cons: surprisingly wet, especially in bunkers and off-fairway and standing water on cart paths, had to wipe mud off ball several times after landing in fairway;
Always have a good time playing the East course. Very forgiving, and when you haven’t played for a few months, forgiving helps.
Good value
Wide open layout of the East course makes it very forgiving for errant shots. It is an excellent play for the higher handicapped players, but probably isn't much of a challenge for the low handicappers. Fairways were nice and green, and the greens were in great shape, and rolled true. It was a good value for the price.
Wide fairways, very little trees, player friendly course
Started with two gentlemen walkers who were gracious enough to tell me to hit ahead, being I was in a cart. When I caught a foursome who were playing best ball due to a couple of their players being novices. They were insistent on having me play through. Even though I told them their pace was good, not to mention they clearly were having a great time! I was able to finish 18 in 2hrs 25 minutes. Thanks to the gracious players I came across. Although the range balls are pretty beat up, I’d play here again with no hesitation! Maybe try to West course.
Good Deal with the Discount
Today's online deal for 1 player for a 1:10 tee time was great. The East course is not as well maintained as the West course especially the cart car paths and the general conditions of the course. Some areas were waterlogged and swampy and if you are not in the 1st. cut on the fairway, there are good chances you may not find your shots and especially your tee shots. The course is also inundated with geese and their waste. Staff was and is typically very helpful and friendly.
Wide open and fun
EV East has wide open fairways that you can absolutely bomb from the back tees. I enjoyed the quality of the greens and fairways. The lawn had just been clipped and it was all over which made it a messy round and stained white Nikes. There was a lot of standing water, but it did not impact play. Bunkers were mud and rock pits not maintained during Covid I guess. Overall I enjoyed the day and the pairing. Pace of play was excellent and no problems finishing quick. Highly recommend this course for the higher handicap golfer who may or may not have wayward drives. :)
Enjoy!
Wide open and fun
I came up to Tahoe for a birthday weekend getaway. Wanted to play some golf that wouldn’t break the bank. Found this place. I read some reviews and figured it would be stress free fun. It was fantastic. We tee’d off early and beat the heat. The fairways were wide and the greens were not slow but not fast either. I could definitely come out this way to play again and maybe even try the West course too.
Super fun, easy and straightforward
Had a birthday weekend up in Tahoe. I wanted to have fun, easy golf course and found it on the east course. The drive to the course was easy and didn’t take long from Tahoe. The course was super fun and the greens rolled great. I would love to come back and play this again or even try the west course. This place was great.
Fun
Course is highly unusual in that there are few trees and hazards. Fairways are in great shape and greens are first rate
