Beachwood Golf Club

The front 9 was extremely slow because we had a new rookie with us. He should have taken a few lessons and spent some time on the range before attempting to play a par 72 golf course, He quit after 9 holes, so the back 9 had a much better pace to it. This course is not perfect but it is great value for the money. There is just enough trouble to keep you interested and focused. I play most of my golf here when I am in Myrtle Beach.

We arrived early and had and advance check in. Then we needed to going for a receipt for the starter. There was a lot of confusion with the staff. There were not enough available carts. We were given an old and dirty cart and teed off late. It was then we noted that 5 people with 3 carts were in front of us. The other parties with were told their carts weren’t sufficiently charged and they would need to switch carts after the first nine. They said it was because of a power failure but the truth is we are staying very nearby and the power failure was over 36 hours before. The play was very slow. A 5 1/2 hour round. The tee boxes had tall grass and the red tees all were sloping. None were flat. The greens were covered with sand that had many pebbles that caused putts not to run true. The fairways were green. There was no food available at the turnaround and the people we were paired with were disappointed. There was also no none available to switch out the carts so we were delayed onto the second nine while we searched for an attendant that was not to be found. At the 15th hole another cart was brought for the one that was almost dead. This chaos was not what we expected as we had golfed here before. We played our next round elsewhere.

This is the second time we played it this winter. Both time we like it. Fairways and greens are in good shape. Not overly difficult. Pace of play was good.

Front 9 our foresome played in 1 hour 48 min. When we made the turn we were waiting for 25 minutes to complete the morning double tee process. Then the pace of play was pathetic. Back 9 2 hr 37 min plus the 25 min wait made for a nightmare on the back. Then the ranger doesn't know why it was slow.

Friendly staff and nice layout… was early in the season so fairways were not grown in yet…

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Course in very good shape with many workers beautifying the course. Even bathrooms were clean and had Kleenex tissues and hand cream. Tees, Greens and fairways all well kept. Relatively easier course than many other but enough challenging holes to keep you interested. An enjoyable time all around. Definitely recommend.

Always an enjoyable experience golfing at Beachwood. You can count on very good course conditions. The pleasant staff add to the experience.

Front of us had 2 hole open and no ranger was on the course. We caught them on 15 of 18 Holes and would allow us to play through.

This course needs a ranger that keep the pace of play moving.

Definitely be aware that they start people back and front and do not care about pace of play

3 1/2 hr. to play the front 9 and 6 1/2 hours total to finish 18

We waited about 20 minutes on every tee box

Other than that, the course was beginning to fill in with the warmer weather

The greens have filled in from the aeration for the most part

Looked for a value play at the Beach and came up with Beachwood. Course was in really good shape. Excellent value for the conditions. Will definitely play there again. Got paired up with a fun group as well, which made the day even more enjoyable!

Everything about the Course and Staff was Top Notch. The ease with Booking thru Holf Now was Flawless. I work on a Golf Course and the Course Looked, played, and how the Staff conducted, was the way we do it, too

The Course was in Fabulous Condition and the Staff Was exceptional. I work on a Golf Course and this the way we treat our course and deal with Patrons

Overseed helped with lies vs others I have played this spring. Greens could use a haircut. Slower than I or most people like.

The weather was perfect and my new friends from Pittsburgh and Michigan that the pro shop teamed me up with were great

With the sunshine and warm weather lately the course is starting to green up and fill in

Putting is getting more consistent as I only used 27 putts today

With a final score of 86 my arthritis stayed in check due to the warm weather

The fairways were nice and green and the greens were in fantastic shape
