About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Great course / fun course
We’ve played 5 different courses within 3 days
Oyster Bay was on top two courses we’ve played
Bonus was complimentary lunch and drinks !!!!
Staff was very friendly
This was our first time playing the course and the staff was very kind and helpful. Some of the greens were a little rough but overall the condition of the course was great.
Looks like a nice course...
We played the first nice twice, not expected!
Pace was slow, and lost my game...
Should try it again when both nines will be available.

Great surprise
It was in great shape and clear that they are continuing to work diligently to make it even better. Don’t let the access road concern you. They are spending where it matters.
Good value
This course is not as beautiful or in as good shape as some other courses. The cost reflects that.
Love the last 3 holes even though I lost a ball or two.

Great course
Great value for the price. Nice pace of play in the afternoon, not too many golfers. Get the moonshine lemonade in the clubhouse :-) you won’t regret it!
the greens were in great shape. the fairways were being worked on for drainage or sprinkler system on quite a few holes. it would be nice if they would stake hazards ie stream. the layout was fun. the staff very friendly. A little pricey for the course.

Diamond among the many
I found this course some years ago after playing some of the more famous ones in NMB. This course was incredible and was such a joy playing. Ball in fairways was like hitting off tees and the greens were true. This course is a diamond in the ruff and I play it twice every time I'm in NMB. For the money...I highly recommend it. 4 stars!

Fairways were in terrible condition. Very little grass. Most any green fee would be too much on this track.

Only downside was no beverage cart.
Nice course but horrible pace of play
Course overall had some challenging holes and would play it again. The pace of play was painful and frustrating. A four hour rounds ended up taking 5+ hours. A foursome was in front of my party and were extremely clueless of golf etiquette and pace of play. The ranger should have addressed this group.
Everything was broke
Course could use some water, the fairways we're like hitting off concrete, the greens were sandy and bumpy, the restaurant was closed because they said they were waiting on parts, no cart girl because they were waiting on parts, and the marshal was worthless. Other than that it was fine.

Playable for all
Fun course. Played with a group that had a wide range of handicaps and it was playable for everyone. Recent rains made it a little soft but that didn’t take away from the challenge.
