About
The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

The redesign is great- new enlarged undulating greens, tee boxes have been moved and the course is much more challenging. But the course is very playable for high handicap players as several bunkers have been removed and greens repositioned that allow a clear approach. But the ease of green access has been offset by the increased green size that uses severe undulation and closely moved areas that send approach shots- left, right or long into the water. For those who have played Ventura before- it will take 1 round to adapt to the changes. The greens are in good shape but were slow - either because of the heavy rain the day before or they need more time to develop. The staff is great, very friendly. The practice area is larger and improved. The only thing lacking is a driving range on site. If you have played here before and this is your 1st time back since the redesign- just look at the 18th hole while on the practice green - it will give you a good idea of what to expect.

We Do have a driving range but players must check in (park at bag drop while checking in) then drive your car to our range located inside our gates near the back of our expansive property close to our rear entrance that leads to Pershing Ave.

Good but wet
Course was in good shape. Greens were rolling consistent. No dead spots on the greens. Fairways were very green and lush. Some tee boxes were pretty beat up and hard to play off.
I played after a pretty good rain of about 20-30 minutes. And after that rain the course was flooded. A ton of standing water in the fairways and on tee boxes. I wouldn’t want to see the course after a normal Florida rain.
I did enjoy myself and had a great day.
Thanks for playing the New Ventura CC! We have been working to soften our new tee areas after our recent renovation and they are improving. We did have over 1/2 an inch of rain in about 20 minutes as you said, and it did puddle up as you can imagine but the water quickly made its way our new drainage system. Even with the rain yesterday we were not forced to be cart path only and today the course is perfect and ready for your return! Hope to see you soon!

Reworked
Wow! So many changes to the course since last time I played it. Green complexes moved, water relocated, green size increased ( rare these days), and some bunkers removed and some added. Great condition and it was nice to be able to put this course back on our playlist.

Usual good condition
Course is in its usually good condition. Greens are slower than they used to be before the renovations. I love the new changes on some holes .. still wish they'd go back to the old #1 holes, with 16, 17, 18 as it used to be. Was better to start and warm up in wide open holes, instead of starting tight.
Thanks for playing the New Ventura CC! Our new TifEagle greens are double the size of the original design creating much longer putts which can certainly make the greens feel slower. The new layout provides a much better pace of play and helped to create a super finish to the round as the patrons at the clubhouse can enjoy watching the players finish!

It is only a couple of miles from my home and the price is right. If there is availability I will sign-up with them again.

Good condition, 3 hour round
Played as a twosome. We only waited once on the tee. We were not pushed, and we did not push anyone, and we played the afternoon round in less than 3 hours. Great greens, good fairways and tee boxes.
I played pretty well, with one triple bogey, three bogeys, two birdies.
