Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.

Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.

Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Cow Pasture

Absolutely terrible course for the money. Paid over $55.00 to play a course that wasn’t worth more than $25.00. Never going back.

Better than expected

We were looking for a cheaper course just to kill some time and ended up here. It was way better than expected. Fairways were cut nice, greens might have been a tad slower than expected, but made the putting a little easier. Very fun but challenging layout. Plenty of places to take risks and be rewarded. Got there right before tee time and left right after so didn’t get to use the clubhouse much, that’s why i couldn’t give it a rating. Bathrooms on the course were well taken care of though.

It was alright.

Really tight course through a neighborhood. Our tee time was 7:46 and at 7:45 there was 3 groups waiting to tee off.

Ok for the cost, needs work

This is an old course with a challenging layout, although 4 sets of tees helps to even it up for all levels of golfers. Water comes into play on almost every hole, as do mature trees/underbrush.

Many tee boxes were bare, and around half the greens had foreign growth/damage patches. Bunkers were undefined, and under sanded.

My real peeve was all the piles of branches and landscaping waste left laying around the course; none affected play, but they looked terrible. Also, signage around the cart barn and club drop area is amateurish.

There’s real potential here, but it makes one wonder about the financial commitment of ownership-

Indian Wells directly across the highway is now long gone, this cannot and should not happen to Indigo Creek.

Getting pars was sub par

This course was needs a lot of updating. Lots of weeds, some areas had no grass and greens were rough.

I did like the layout and the challenge but considering the weather this year things should have been lush.

Gave us 2 FREE Rounds!! Great People Make the Difference!

It's the people that make the course! They were going through some renovations, and it was the first time my son and I played there. They told me ahead of time that their grounds were being worked on and unlike any other course I've ever played, the man gives me TWO FREE ROUNDS. He tells me to play today and then come back another time and play it again for FREE! What other course does that? You've got a loyal goer to your course. Thank you Indigo Creek! The course wasn't bad though. Just some patches on the greens, but it wasn't terrible.

I really enjoyed Indigo Creek

The course is very scenic. Wildlife, water, landscaping. The bunkers were in very good shape (unlike many courses I’ve played). Bathrooms on the course. No water coolers as far as I saw. I will play here again when I visit MB next year.

Not great

I do not have a long drive, the amount of roll is a big factor in reaching the greens in regulation. The fairways were very "hairy" and the ball just died when landing on the fairway. The greens were OK. This course was much better back in December. I like the layout and the beauty of the course, but was very disappointed at the current condition.

Bad greens and tee boxes. Lots of them with crab grass or dead spots. Tee boxes were worse
