I played this course last year and it was in decent shape, but I think that was the last time it was taken care of. It's a shame because this is a fun layout for golf. I hope someone tries to save this course.
Great course layout, with really neat hole locations. Staff was very friendly, and bar had good drink prices. Would recommend to anyone for a nice afternoon out on the course!
You must have had a LOT to drink to think this is rated as excellent. No grass anywhere - fairways, greens, - except growing in the sand traps so you couldn’t even hit out of them.

Course fairways no grass or very little. Greens fair. Course is challenging very hilly. But wouldn't go back. Course has not been taken care of

Dirt track
I have always enjoyed the layout and elevation of this course. The conditions, however, are the worst I have ever seen for any course. There is not a patch of grass on any fairway. Enough said and save your money and simply play elsewhere.

Greens are only good thing.
The greens were good and putted nice. Fairways are non existent. Most of them are dirt and sand. Rough is sparse also. Sand bunkers must be played as ground under repair. They have never recovered from Billy Caspar management. too bad because it is a good layout.

It could be the showplace of the area
But, it's really in bad shape. Virtually little to no grass on the fairways; greens where okay. The fairways and rough are so bumpy they should require seatbelts in the golf carts. The layout of the course is fantastic and it could be a real gem if somebody was willing to put some money into it and take care of it. I've played it for the last 3 or 4 years and this is the worst that I've seen it. What a disappointment.

Co vI’d pandemic= fewer $$$$/ rounds played=reduced $$ spent on .course maintenance = reduced course quality play. Course needs pot holes filled, reseeding, WATER & sand traps are choked on weeds..
Will we play again? Doubtful!!

Best course layout in Orlando area
We have played this course several times in the past few years. The layout of this course is excellent. However, the water system is not working at all. Absolutely no grass left anywhere. Course is still open but no money is going for maintenance. Course for sale for past 3 years. New possible owners will have to replace and/or overhaul water system which will be a huge expense. Greens are painted green with a lot of unwanted weeds and grass varieties that do not allow ball to roll smoothly. This course used to be in good condition but management has simply let it go. We were very disappointed because I can remember what it used to be - my favorite when we visited from Illinois .Would not recommend this course to any golfer until it is renovated.

Could be great
This course has the best vistas of any course in Florida. Views or just fabulous. As for the course conditions terrible. Greens are being watered but the fairways are bone dry. To be fair to yourself a club length of movement on the fairway may still not get you a lie with any grass. Please someone buy this course and get it in shape.

Great layout terrible conditions
Could be the best course around if owner cared. The fairways were dirt only sand traps full of weeds and tees with limited grass.

No fairways , bunkers were total junk. No way this was a 3 star course.

Great course layout
This is a great layout for golf course. The only issues are course needs a little TLC. Fairways are dry and Greens are spotty. Could pull some weeds out of traps too. But don’t get me wrong. This is a really fun course to play - absolutely love layout. Just needs a little love.

best layout anywhere
as I said BEST LAYOUT ANYWHERE BAR NONE -----every hole is different - elevation changes than my home state of Vermont. Greens were ok - fairways not so much - teeboxes = who cares

What do I say? Warm welcome when we got there. Courteous staff! Starter gave description of a few holes with a smile. Loved the layout! The course need some TLC. Hard as a rock, needs water and grass. You have to shoot darts to hold the greens. Fun course if you can control the speed.

Absolutely Beautiful
Once again I am amazed at how beautiful and Majestic the layout of this courses is. It is probably one of the prettiest courses in central Florida. I Try to play this course at least once a month because of how beautiful the entire courses is. if you have a chance it's a must play course in central Florida.
The views and layout are nice but the course, as it currently plays is hardly excellent. The dead or dormant grass makes shots on many of not all holes difficult/unplayable. This course in great condition would be a great spot but we played it today (1/17) and it is definitely not a must play right now. Staff was awesome and enjoyed the elevations but conditions are rough right now.
Scenic Layout-Terrible Conditions
We enjoyed our round today at Sanctuary Ridge. The layout is interesting and challenging. Since it’s in hilly Clermont, the vistas are spectacular. Unfortunately, the course conditions are not good. There is little grass in the fairways, and the greens are very inconsistent.
I’ll probably play it again because I so enjoy the layout. Hopefully it will be in better condition next time.
