Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club

We have enjoyed the very different layout and challenges of Sanctuary Ridge for a few years now. But the course condition can only be described as deteriorating and "sad". Price is acceptable. but if they spent some money getting it in shape they could easily charge more. We won't likely be back this year.

Almost all the residential courses in FL are suffering. Quit grousing about the condition and enjoy the great layout and course.

I play here as often as possible. Suggest you do the same before all the options left are $100+ resort courses at Disney or in the tourist zone.

Love this place, always have since it opened.

Course was in need of watering fairways were like hitting of of hard dirt, paid for 18 holes only played 9. This is first time I have not liked playing this course.

This was the worst conditioned courseI have ever played. It was pathetic, clearly no maintenance. The tees, fairways, greens were pathetic and the Club and this site should be embarrassed. This club should not be on this site, and honestly should give us our money back.

Having played here numerous times over the last few years, we found the course very disappointing

The bunkers are basically unplayable and totally unmaintained, the fairways extremely firm and sandy with very little grass, and the greens unpredictable from hole to hole with sparse grass.

That being said, the course still boasts a hilly and very unique fun layout with many interesting holes!

I know it used to be a Billy Casper run course. Not sure what happened....

I have played this course every year several times when I visit Florida and this by far was the worst shape it has ever been in. I always realize the bunkers will be in bad shape but now the greens are bad. Not much grass on the tee boxes or fairways. Overall maintenance of the good layout was terrible. The staff including Larry the starter were friendly and efficient. Bar staff was average at best. Probably will take this course off of my play list.

Challenging course and it would be good to have played it before.

Been playing here for years, no rakes in traps , tees are neglected , greens are ok at best it’s sad because I always enjoyed playing here.

Had to call the Pro Shop to get a Ranger to speed up play. On 9th hole there were 4 groups (one on the green, one in the fairway and 2 groups on the tee box. Same experience on 13 hole, quit after playing 12 holes

If that is the pace you like THIS course is for you. Mainly 2 and 3-somes ahead of us. MANY times 4 groups on the same hole. Office was called after 9 holes but did not see anyone nor did the pace speed up!!!!

Course had nice layout with lots of elevation changes.Very scenic course with challenging holes . The staff were very friendly and accommodating.An inexpensive round of golf.Only downfall is course is in dire needs of water and maintenance.

Front 9 ok to play not only trick holes back 9 a lot of doglegs if you have never played before very challenging. Traps need a lot of work.. price for area and date playing ok. This course is not flat at all for a Florida course.

It's been a year or more since I played here. I remember the course being in really good shape the last time I played. Unfortunately it looks like the owner is not putting out much effort to maintain the course. I must say that a good part of the problem is the guests that play here. Very few people fill their fairway divots with sand that is provided by the course. Also, hardly anyone can be bothered to repair their divots on the greens. I like the layout and we played the round in under 4 hours.
