Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club

I like difficult holes not just flat grass to a green so I really like this course. If you are a purist that needs great grass, perfect sand and no sidehill lies you might not like it.

I have played this course several times over the last few years. The layout challenges any golfer BUT the sand traps were unplayable. Several traps were washed out and hazardous to enter. Most of the greens were in good shape and fairways were okay.

Course is on the way back. Really love this course

This course has great potential.. Up keep is quite poor.

Only negative was pace of play. Almost 5 hours.

This course is starting to settle in as one of the better lower-tier courses. As golf itself continues to deteriorate this will be probably one of the course is still around charging a nominal fee to play a good design in conditions that aren't what they once were but probably never will be again. The greens were almost like putting on glass and were very smooth. Probably the fastest greens in the area.

I think it deserves a higher slope. it has huge elevation changes, big gullies and sand. The grass is not perfect but a great course if you get past that.

Have not played the course for a few years and was not disappointed. Greens were the fastest I have played for a long time and coming from the UK faster than anything that I play in the UK. Fairways a little poor but greens super quick. A great layout because of the elevation changes which are unusual in this part of Florida. Unfortunately the pace of play was very slow and even playing a 3 ball we had to wait to play every shot. However I will play the course again on my next visit to Florida next year. I introduced a friend to the course today and he wants to come back to play it again.

I thought Florida was completely flat, but after I played this course, I know better now. Absolutaly loved the scenic views and the height difference, on almost very hole, made the course quite challenging. Fairways were wide and there wasn't too much rough. Greens were fast and sometimes hard to read which made it quite a challenge to end this round with a fair score. If you're staying in Orlando, it's about 45 mins. to get there and 100% worth to visit!

Love the layout of this course but it is not in good condition. Fairways were dry and hard. Greens were not too bad. No rakes for the green side bunkers (or fairway bunkers) so sometimes the ball is in someone else’s footprint. I probably won’t play this course again this winter but it does have an interesting layout. Should be played at least once.

I use to love playing there and I heard it went downhill, well my friend wasn't lying.

The course is a cow pasture and not a decent pasture, I'm not sure what happened but dam it! The course layout is something unique by Florida's standards because of the different elevation changes on almost every hole. That's the only positive I have for the course, you name anything else and its negative, for example the bunkers are muddy dirt mixed with sand bunkers.

I only recommend the course because if you've never played a course with elevation, here's your chance.

Course keeps improving. Greens are filling in nice. Fairways still could use more grass. A good value for the money.

Demanding second shots on several par 4's make this a challenging course.

This course has a great layout for Florida. The elevation changes makes it very interesting and challenging. Also provides wonderful views ..... can see all the way to Orlando from some locations on the course. The staff is very professional and extremely friendly. Larry the PIZZA MAN starter really knows how to handle all situations. Restaurant has excellent food and the service was terrific. Course could use a little TLC especially the bunkers......,.... the greens were very good...... fast and true.

greens are in fabulous condition.....as are the t boxes....fairways are fine for hitting off of.....this is a very challenging course as it requires target shooting the whole way around.....if you cant hit the ball where you want too, regardless of what you pay, this course could frustrate you very easily......its interesting to watch people on the first tee hitting from the back tees.......about four holes in they have moved up at least one t and more than likely two!!!!!

I live here in florida and play every week and the price on golfnow the last two weeks with the great layout was worth it.played with my buddies as we do every week and we will be back as orlando residents. Great time,thanks sanctuary ridge.
