A lot has changed
We used to play this course regularly before covid. It was in such poor condition we almost left after the 2nd hole. There is little to no grass on the fairways, weeds everywhere, pits / sand and weeds on the greens. Just terrible and there were no groomed traps. They will have to do a lot to make us come back here again no matter how inexpensive it is. Such a disappointment and a shame.
No Fairway grass
This use to be a beautiful golf course which I played many times over the years. Today made my stomach turn. This can not be called a golf course. There is NO GRASS on any of the fairways. The greens were green but that's it. I can not put into words how awful this course really is. NO warnings and no information about the condition from staff.

Needs help
Was one of my favorite courses to play. Course conditions are very poor. Also very slow golfers who do not have the courtesy to let better golfers play through. I hope the course comes back.

Hopeing for improvement
I played there June 1st,I was very excited about being in the area and a chance to play there again.the last time I played there the course was in ok condition ,this time the fairways were dead,the greens were hard to putt on,there were potholes all over the place,just not a very enjoyable round of golf,I love the layout,the elevation changes will take your breath away,hopefully with some rain the course will come back to life.

Neglected golf course.
Last time I played Sanctuary Ridge about 2 years ago and the course was in excellent condition. It was very sad to see and play the course in it's current condition.
The fairways, bunkers, tee boxes, etc. were in horrible shape. It looked like nobody took care of the course in years!! Very sad because it is a nice, challenging layout.
It is not worth playing at all at any price in it's current condition. Hope that someday the course is brought back to life. Will not play it again until that happens.

The location had great potential...
With some grass this course could be a lot of fun. The layout has a lot of elevated tee shots, scenic views, stout hills to climb. Things that are not common in Florida. I went out as a single at 9:30 am on a Sunday morning (which should have told me something). I played through 3 groups at different points...no one accepted my offer to join up, but they were all nice and let me keep going, Finished in under 3 hours. Unfortunately, even in the middle of the fairway, grass isn't common, and most of the greens are the same. I actually scored pretty well (shot a 79 from the Blue's on a 9 handicap), but I won't be back until I hear that the course is in better condition.

Gone
I played this course several years ago. Now, it’s a shame it’s even on golf now. I quit after a few holes. The entire course is dirt and weeds. It’s a shame too, but you shouldn’t play here. It’s a waste of time.

Water me!!!!!!
Best layout in central Florida with crazy elevations but they haven't watered the course in 6 months. No grass at all in the fairways.

Probably the worst course I have ever played. The condition was awful. The only grass that was on the course was in the bunkers.

Course should not be operating
When I arrived, the attendant mentioned the sprinkler system had not been working for over two months - information that should be displayed on the GolfNow app. All holes were messed up. I requested a refund but the attendant refused to because I did not reserve through them. Course is not suitable for any type of play. Should not be open.
DISSAPOINTMENT!
One of THE best layouts in Central Florida BUT probably the worst condition golf course (fairways, bunkers, rough and greens) i the whole of Florida. Most fairways are sandy waste areas!
In current condition I would NOT recommend it to anyone.
Actually saw two sprinkler gushing water so maybe in a few weeks things may improve, they certainly could not get much worse.

Challenging, but Fairways and greens in terrible condition. Worst course I’ve seen in years. Not sure I’ll come back.

Terrible condition. No grass on fairways or tee boxes, ruts everywhere...not suitable for golf.

Course is falling apart and has become a Desert!
Course is falling apart and has become a desert, grass is very dry and is dying, truly a shame! 10$ to 12$ would be a more appropriate price!

I did not remember playing it once before until i arrived. It had no green grass on any fairway. Although greens had grass they were not consistent or smootj

DON'T PLAY HERE!
Desk crew said they have NO water for irrigation due to pump failure. Pump has been out "for some time". Apparently it is not a big concern as they are losing the entire course due to No water and No maintenance. Fairways are mostly dirt with scattered weeds every lie is poor. Greens are rough and bumpy. Looks like they were painted to maintain some color!
We were very disappointed in this once fine course and we will NOT return until. We expect, it goes into bankruptcy and new owners take over.
