Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club

We have played this course b4 and enjoyed it. Price is high(thank goodness for GolfNow)) but, this time it was worth it. Will play again.

Second time we played here. The views are great. Course is fun and in reasonable shape considering the lack of rain. Took over five hours on a Monday afternoon. It seemed the several groups we could see in front of us were all a half hole or so behind, completely unaware any one else was on the course and very nonchalant. No sign of a marshal .

Overall had a good round, however took 5 hours for the round. Too many very slow golfers ahead of us, tee boxes need work. Core aeration needed, too many bunkers neglected and have filled in with grass.

I've been playing here since it opened in the early 2000's. I love the layout and the hills. Challenges all around the course, but fair for any level of golfer. While the greens were in good shape, I was a bit surprised to weeds around the edges and in most fairways. This course has a lot of bunkers, deep and tough, but it's not that they were just unraked, which has been typical over the years as many play like waste areas, but the edges of the bunkers are getting very bad and haven't been maintained for awhile. Tee boxes were fairly rough and the entire course is just not in the shape it was meant to be. While I still love the layout, I was disappointed in the care for this course. I had played to take some friends visiting to the play here next month but likely will choose another location now. Last time I played this course for one year ago, and it's definitely declined a bit. Sad......

The starter gave us some tips before we t-d off that were helpful. This course is all up and down but there is plenty of room to land your ball and play into the greens.. Some of the sand traps, which there are a few, did not have rakes. They should put rakes on their carts to solve this problem. Sand traps were nice in that they actually had sand in them. Greens were in excellent condition, slow but held the ball. Pace great.

I am a high handicapper and shot under a 100 which is great for me. You will have fun, give it a try.

I last played this course a year ago. Last year there were two issues. One was the end of the cart paths were extremely bumpy, and the other were many bunkers were not being cared for. The latter still has not been addressed. All in all, I enjoy this course immensely.

When we got there we were a little early but there were 7 foursomes lined up to play. It was extremely slow and it took us four and three quarter hours to do a 18 hole round. We waited on every hole for the foursome ahead of us. they would wait on a par 4 for the green to clear before they would hit. There was not a marshall anywhere to be seen. Other wise it was great.

Course was great but had to wait for a golf cart before starting. No marshall on the course and we waited on every tee.It took over 5 hours to play, which indicates either slow players or over booking by the club.

The different elevations, narrow fairways, bunkers and significant waste areas made for a challenging round.

Course was recommended by people we played with. Very challenging and interesting layout. Tees had very little grass, fairways no grass but the greens were in pretty good shape. Pace of play was horrible. On the back nine, there were 4 groups on every hole. One on the green, one in the fairway and two on the tee. At the 4:30 mark in our round we had just finished the 13th hole, so we called it quits rather than have a 6 hour round.

Hilly golf in Florida with elevation changes, challenging carries with risk.reward, fairways and greens are perfect. Traps are never raked (see the pictures to understand why - on sides of hills and difficult to get to with equipment).

Always great to play - today's round was slow because of a 4 ball 2 holes ahead of us. They must have been playing a 6 hour pace as we caught up to them on the back nine (front nine in 2 hours 15 mins, back nine 3 hours). Ranger was out moving them along but that didn't help much. Courses don't take the fun out of golf - rude golfers do. Still, enjoyed the day at a great course.

This course was in great condition and provided some very interesting and challenging holes. The elevations were shocking for Florida. The greens were super and fairways great. The course was crowded as it should be, but the pace was OK especially for the vistas. Several sets of tees allow anyone to enjoy their round. First time here, but will definitely return.

3rd round so far this Winter at Sanctuary and can always say this is one of the courses I enjoy playing the most of all Central Florida courses, One because of its Great Layout and Two, the value of your dollar to play here. Staff is always a pleasure and Friendly. Yesterdays round was a little slow and almost took 5 hours but that can be expected on a Friday and a Later tee time when the course was fully booked until 2:54 pm so slow play was expected on this day but normally it's a 4 hour round. Greens are in Great Condition!! If you enjoy scenery and Hills, then this is a Great Course to try. Every Hole is different and challenging. Lots of Sand but can be avoided with smart play!! GREAT GOLF COURSE as Always!!!!

Lots of elevation changes for sure. The greens were perfect, but best stay below the hole if you can. There just seemed to be too many blind shots and dog legs that with the hard and sloping fairways you weren't sure where to hit. It was interesting, and if you played it a few times you would likely get use to what club to hit. We had a good day, with a couple of other players we teamed up with.

No water hazards ...but very 'sandy' course. And hilly too. Very interesting course.

Not your typical Florida course. More hills then you would think Florida has. Made playing here a challenge up hill down hill and side hill lies every where. The tees are flat and that's about it. Course was fun.

Always fun to play with the natural elevation changes for a FL course. Very good value for the $$

Each hole was different from the typical Florida course because of the drastic elevation changes of about one hundred feet.

Nice layout and fantastic undulations which made this course a blast to play . For as busy as it was The pace of play wasnt bad at all . For what it cost to play its definetly worth it ! But for what you save on the greens fees you lose purchasing beer on the course . So show up half loaded ! Lol
