Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club

I love playing this course and was excited to take my friends who were visiting from up north to play here. Well we got here and the start gave one of the guys grief for bringing a cooler. Good thing he did! He said a cart girl "Loren" would be around multiple times for any drinks we needed. She never showed up!! It was 90 deg. out. The rough and parts of the fairway needed serious attention. Looks like a lack of watering. Hope it is better next time but for this round not worth the money!

Nice course but like most other courses in the area, very dry with sparse grass on fairways and poor tee boxes. Greens are good. Course layout is very nice . Hope it rains there soon or at least water the course. Several other courses better but minimally more expensive - Highlands Reserve and much more green Providence.

If you are a local and can get a cheap rate under $35 and just want to hit s few balls then the course is perfect. Now if you are on vacation and only have one fay to golf go somewhere else.

The course is ok. What let's it down is the state of the fairways. They are scruffy and weedy on almost every hole. However, the greens are in very good condition

Very few bunkers have rakes available yes I know some players are lazy but having rakes give them no excuses

Would I play the course again - yes but if nothing is done soon to the fairways I would say a no!

This course is always fun to play, so unique for Florida. Always a first stop when golfing buddies get to town. Golf with lunch deal is great. Course is in good shape for this time of year. I'll be back!

The course was in appalling condition. Tall weeds in the fairways, no rakes in some bunkers, if you could call them bunkers, ver dry and sandy throughtout. Almost bald greens.

The course needs to provide yardage books so you can get an idea as to the course plays a challenge but a fun course

Those 4 star givers out there must like playing golf on "concrete"! There is no grass on fairways and the course is so dry, you can't hit a ball. Management must be very stingy because you know they don't water the course. Too bad, it has great views and challenging lay outs but no course!!

Nice track, Greens receptive, SAND TRAPS LEAVE A LOT TO BE DESIRED. Some traps impossible to get out. Faces of bunkers should be rebuilt and redesigned. Sand should be replaced with ANYTHING but what is in them now. Fairways need to be reseeded.

Played the course several years ago, much younger then. Was very nice then. Now, Very little grass, most fairways slant to the right or left, ball rolls from off the fairway. Deep sand traps almost impossible to play. Pace was extremely slow, took almost 3 hours to play the first nine holes. 10th tee, had two groups waiting to tee off. We decided to leave after looking at a possible six hour round of golf. We left after nine holes, don't see us returning there anytime soon. We usually can 18 holes in 3 hours. Sad.

One of my absolute favorite courses..have seen it in better shape. Still well worth playing. Bottom line is Florida courses need rain right now

Wow! Lots of slope and views. Greens were fast. Staff was good. We got there about an hour before our tee time and the starter jumped us out in front of a group thar was not ready to go. That was nice. The only bummer was no beverage cart on a full course and after nine holes you don't come past the clubhouse.

Marvelous golf course with extraordinary view of the landscape. Tricky for any skills. We'll play there again for sure.

Agree with recent reviews , this is a target course with a good layout for the most part. Because of the challenging layout , player must know the course, otherwise wrong club selection will occur. There are many blind shots .

Corurse condition is average. Greens were good, fairways were average , but sketchy in a number of places, tees below average. Players with prior experience told me it was in the best condition they had seen, so apparently the course is trying.

Sand traps were in poor condition , often without rakes- so we played smooth and place.

Pace of play was OK. We played the first nine behind a shotgun start and there was some backup, but not terrible. After they finished there was a Marshall on the course encouraging pace of play. But the number of hazards, rough terrain, can slow play if people spend too much time looking for balls.

This course had beautiful views of the countryside. A lot of elevation changes. It's a target golf course where ball position off tee is important.

Pace of play slow. Have played numerous times and usually a 5 hour round. Greens good. Fairways fair.

The view was spectacular. The course was challenging but enjoyable. The greens were fast. Would love to play again.

Pace of play was slow. Almost 6 hours to play 18 holes. Too much waiting between every shot. Would not play again because of this.
