The Cranes Roost Course is one of two championship courses at the Plantation at Leesburg. This semi-private golf course features dramatic elevation changes of up to 170 feet. The hilly terrain provides rolling fairways and undulating greens. Water hazards also come into play through much of the golf course, providing further challenge. The Cranes Roost Course accommodates golfers of all skill levels, but it can be especially challenging if taken too casually. In addition to the two golf courses, the Plantation at Leesburg offers a practice facility for golfers to work on their short game as well as a pro shop and staff of golf professionals.

Great Value for the price

I purchased two rounds of golf for their 1:00 pm shotgun for $10 each plus a service fee of $5.23. The shotgun was nearly filled and the course was in decent condition. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a good golfing deal.

Enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed playing here. The course was in real good condition and fairly challenging for me, being only a 3 year golfer. The staff there was reall friendly and inviting. The golf pro, Jim was attentive to my needs and offered up some good advice with no pressure. I definitely recommend. They also host guest tournaments with some some favorite sports people. I met a few; real cool. You never know who you may see or meet.

The Plantation GC Crane Roost

Although this course is short off the back tees - 5863 yds - the undulating fairways present many challenges. The course is well maintained and the greens run very true. Beware of Hole 9, a well designed dog leg which seems to almost come back on itself, a good risk and reward hole.

A really good course for retirees with a good selections of tees.

This is an enjoyable course with just the right amount of difficulty to give you a challange, but not get you really aggravated.

Worth the drive

Great elevation changes, nice views, this course is really fun. Open fairways for most but Oaks can be a challenge if you get into or under one. Only comlplaint is 15, 16, 17 that are par 3, short par 4 and another par 3. A bottle neck makes everybody wait. That is the only problem with this corse

Good beginner course; lacking rangers, hence rules not enforced.

Maintenance company, Down To Earth, does a good job; lack of staff, i.e. rangers, keeps play speed erratic at best; Members seem to go out of their way to not welcome outside players.

Good not Great course

Ideal for you and your wife. Ladies tee boxes are favorable. Fair and very playable course with no forced carries over water or waste areas. Not tough but greens can be hard to read first time around. Not going to lose a lot of balls as most everything is mowed and the landing areas are generous.

Nice course

We played this course because we had gotten a super good deal on golfnow. The course was in good shape and we both played it pretty well. There were not to many hazards to concern ourselves with. It was a nice change of pace from our usual course.
