About
Redhawk Golf Club is one of California's 10 best public courses. Located on the outskirts of San Diego in Temecula, the course is home to one of the southern California's only island greens. The layout is challenging no matter what your skill level but it is still immensely enjoyable. The golf course features dramatic elevation changes, narrows fairways that demand accuracy, and multi-tiered greens that are well conditioned. There is ample water on the course but its use feels natural rather than arbitrary. The numerous strategically placed bunkers are equally as challenging, if not more so than the water hazards. Every club in the bag will see some use at Redhawk Golf Club. From the elevated tees, golfers can enjoy views of the surrounding vineyards for some scenic respite from this formidable test.

Great choice
Due to wet conditions, we played slower than expected but course was an excellent value for the money since we booked using golf now hot deal. Greens are were excellent condition but slower due to rain. Lower rating based on weather conditions. Fairways we’re just okay due to dormant grasses during winter months. Sandtraps we’re good being a dominant feature on many holes.

Great greens and that’s about it.
Course need some work. Greens and tee boxes are good for the most part but the fairways are just gone. Not sure what to call them honestly but will be taking some more time off again from here. Last time it was greens and boxes this time fairways. Not worth the 65 for a round. Maybe 45.
Over 10 inches of rain that is why. I play Redhawk all the time it is a great place to play.
Slow play! Terrible.
So backed up. Terrible. Took almost 3 hours to play 9. Left after 9 holes.

Fairways very poor no grass
Played this course many times, fairways in dry conditions. Greens in good shape. Managed to make a hole in one on 12th tee 122 yards, that made my day better.

Expected too much h
The pace of play was poor.
The twosome ahead if us played slower than our foursome.
There was another beginner twoso.e that hopped around the holes, often wedging between groups and taking 10 to 12 strokes per hole.
The fairways were the worst in any course I have ever played. The tee box and the rough had green grass. The fairways was just plain mud with no grass whatsoever.
The staff pulled the 18th hole flag before we could putt so I could not see the hole. She could have waited just 1 more minute for us to hole out.

Worst round ever
They severely over booked themselves. So much so there were carts dying all over the course. Had a 120 tee time and Our cart died at the 5th hole. We had to start on the back nine. Tried calling the pro shop and bar but no answer. My girlfriend and I had to walk with our clubs to my house (1 mile away) to grab her car to drive back to the course and get our other car. When we got back I went to complain and everyone had left for the day. We would have literally been stranded. Unbelievable! Still haven’t heard back from them. Horrible time.

Can’t wait till spring
The course has a great lay out. Bring your A game. I had fun on every hole. They even have a beautiful par 3 island shot. Reminds me of Augusta. Go out and play this course. You won’t be disappointed.

Not bad
The fairways are very brown and the grass is thin. It has been this way for some time now. The sand and greens are great. It’s fun to play and the layout is great. Just need those fairways to grow.

Fun Time
I went there to play as a single. Ate a yummy egg sandwich and had a beer in the cafe. All the staff were very friendly. Emily in the restaurant was a pleasure to talk to and so sweet. Steve the starter was a great guy too.

a gem worth the drive
One of my favorite courses to play when we come to San Diego to visit friends. ample fairways with fast greens which have multiple levels and slope.
Several beautifully layed out holes you will remember for a long time.
My battery in my laser went out and the distance markers were hard to find, so sometimes I didn't know the yardage into the greens.

Great layout - conditions could be better
Like pretty much all the courses in the area at present, fairways are in awful condition. I know it's winter, but they could be way better.
Yesterday they had clearly massively over-watered the fairways. They were muddy when they didn't need to be.
Greens were fine - consistent and ran well.
It seems like the courses are trying to save money on both qualified groundskeepers and turf management.
But I suppose when you're full every day and can charge top dollar, why invest?

Nice Course
I enjoyed my round. The course is challenging as well as very scenic. I was paired with 3 other golfers, who were kind and fun to be with.
