About
Eagle Vines Vineyards & Golf Club is tucked away in the foothills of Napa Valley, offering one of the most scenic courses in the area. It is also considered by many locals to be one of the most challenging. Every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding vineyards. The layout sprawls across gently rolling hills that weave through stands of mature cherry and oak trees, shimmering waterfalls, and meandering creeks. The golf course offers challenging multi-tiered greens and postage-stamp landing areas that demand well placed iron shots. The memorable seventh hole features an even more difficult island green. There are also some tricky fairways that seem much more open than they are. Eagle Vines numerous risk-reward opportunities that will have golfers using every club in their bag.

Challenging Picturesque Course
We got a reduced rate today due to recent aeration of greens. Greens are recovering nicely but the tee boxes could use a lot of work. Fairways are decent on most holes. .

One of the more higher rated local courses
We played this course for this rate as they had just aerated the greens and there was sand on all of them. This impacted the putting but we were prepared to deal with that because of the reduced rate to play the course.

Course Needs Additional Work
Give the staff/greenskeeper credit for trying, but many holes have large bare spots in the middle of fairway. Cracked dirt. Told the group of eight I was with if in the fairway, move your ball to the nearest grass no closer to hole. Some, not all, greens that are interspersed with bent grass or poa anna were brown and lumpy. The tee boxes, at least they trying to grow grass as you see the black dirt/seed being spread. Almost all the tee boxes they are trying to grow the grass. Almost all the tee boxes not flat. They round, uneven, slight downhill even up hill set up. We played from the white tees. Their signature par 3 waterfall hole, #15, the tee boxes have been closed for almost two months now as they are trying to grow grass. So the box is ground level, and the last few rounds I played there, is only a 60-80 yard shot. Felt like on a muni course. They should at least put the flag on the back side of the green so make it a 110 yard shot, making it more challenging. It's too bad too cause this course is an excellent layout, beautiful views of the vineyards and hills. Hope they will continue their efforts to prevent it from turning into a cow pasture.

If you’ve got the time…..
Quit after playing 15 holes in 4 hours and 42 minutes. Pace of play was ridiculous. Partly due to the type of players there that day — a bro foursome ahead of us often waited for a par 4 green clear before teeing off, saying “I’m going to muscle this one,” then topping it 150 into a vineyard. Disappointing that there was no effort by staff to move them or anybody else along. Having said that, the course is a wonderful layout with lots of diversity but it’s in awful shape. The greens are passable but the tee boxes and fairways are barren or weed-covered. Sad for such a nicely designed course in a beautiful setting.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Speed up pace of play
Great layout but several fairways were dry due to the drought. But the greens ran nicely. Got caught behind a couple of very slow foursomes prompting us to quit after 14 holes. No ranger in the afternoon to help with pace of play

Needs some TLC
I have played this course in the past (a few years ago) and really liked it. However, I played it twice in early October, and it was in really bad shape. Honesty, I wouldn't have minded that much if the round didn't cost so much...but at nearly $100 for the round the course should be kept up much better.
I hope they put some effort into getting it back into shape...or lower their rates.

Great Layout poor course quality
This place needs some work. Poor tee box, rough fairway conditions, greens super bumpy.

Poor condition
Apparently no water to vines or fairways.
Much more rough conditions than I’ve seen before.

Not bad if you don't have other options
This is a fun layout that needs some tlc - several of the tee boxes had no grass and were not flat. The greens are nice but beat up from players not repairing ball marks and large areas of the "fairways" are unplayable.
There was no (absolutely nothing) available to eat or drink after 5 pm so pack a cooler if you have an afternoon tee time. Also, bring your own water because every cooler on the course was empty - on a hot afternoon.

Horrible course for the price.
Charge you $100 to play. Yet all tee boxes are crap and not maintained. Pace of play is slow and Marshall’s really don’t do anything about it. I get it. It’s a weekend. But the Starter should emphasize pace of play right at the start. And then remind the absolutely mindless slow ones to pick it up. That’s the least you can do if you are going to maintain the course. We asked the first marshal we saw and he just drugged it off and said that’s you just have to expect it. Hahahahaha. Better off going to Paradise Valley or Rancho Solano. Prices are more reasonable and courses are well maintained. And they emphasize pace of play. What a concept. Won’t be back. Won’t recommend.
