Eagle Vines Golf Club

The tee boxes are in very poor shape and the greens look like they were not mowed for Sunday play when you’re playing paying high-end dollars, very disappointed. I do love the layout of the course. Would not recommend this to a friend right now

From the Blue tees, this course has a great, tough variety of holes. Even with a drive that's 250-270 on the par 4s, a player faces shots of 180-200 into clever, interesting green complexes - including multi-level greens and challenging bunkering. The par 3s are mostly long and frequently into the wind. Greens had recently been punched but were very good and receptive. All of this in a setting with 360-degree views of vineyards and the golden hills surrounding this southern edge of Napa Valley. On the other hand, the fairway/rough conditions were good but not really good, and the course is unwalkable given very lengthy distances between several greens and tees.

We played 08-14 Saturday afternoon and finished 18 in a little over 4 hrs, this is after we took a break then got food @9th. The Pro Shop professionals are the best! They are very accommodating and warm ALL THE TIME! They always make sure you have the best time and keep coming back, that’s why we always do! The course is getting better, the tee boxes do need a little more improvement but I can see that it is now getting better. Fairways and greens are good and always improving. And the views are beautiful! This course is easy and very enjoyable for every level golfer!

We actually like Eagle Vines more than Chardonnay as Chardonnay gets very busy and pro shop is unfortunately not as helpful and accommodating as eagle vines. We will keep coming back!

A heads up that 9 greens had just been "sanded", though it was more like dirt that was put on the greens. It would have been nice had someone in the pro shop mentioned that the greens had just been worked on. To me, that's something patrons need to be made aware of.

I almost regret leaving this review because it means more people will play here but I was just that impressed. Staff was friendly, conditions were excellent, and the course location was beautiful. Top marks all around. Except my golf of course. I played like poop.

My last review of EAGLE VINES. had a mention of slow play.( first time ever) Not this time. Course in perfect shape . All great except a strange event regarding wedding photos.

Played with other Father and son. I think overall very similar scores. They have played before and gave us a tip. Weather course people were great. Except I wish it had portable toilet every 3 or 4 holes. We drank lots of water and we do g want to excuse to Vine yard.

Green was fast and true bounce…. Be Prepare for undulations. If you are not long hitters be strategic

CAN'T BELIEVE YOU CAN'T ORDER A GLASS OF WINE FROM THIS VINYARD. HELLO, who's steering the ship. Bartender not a clue. They do serve house wine of names I've never heard of. However, there are numerous wines I've never heard of, so not surprising. Yet, you can't order a glass from the grounds you are playing on. Absurd.

I'm not buying a bottle of something I've never tried. Bar/restaurant closes at 4pm. Another great idea from whomever is running the establishment.

Beautiful course. Needs better groundskeeper for sure, maybe someone who knows golf course management. Overall a great layout

This course has many different kinds of holes with several that have elevation ranges uphill and downhill.

Nice course and fun layout, fairly good condition, but why do I always have to start on back nine!!

I'm becoming a fan of the newer Johnny Miller designed front 9 over the older "Chardonnay Shakespeare" back 9. The fairways were fine, the greens were a little overwatered and the tee boxes could use some re-sodding (especially on the signature par 3 14th). The rolling vineyard terrain and scenery have always been a big draw for me.

Highly recommended. Very challenging, gorgeous layout!
