Mountain View at Desert Willow Golf Resort

Played the mountain course. Simply beautiful, picturesque, and challenging. Well maintained and will come again.

This was my first time to the course. I booked as a single as I found a discount on golf now. I dropped my bag at the bag drop and went to the check in. I was then told to go see the starter who was outside the door. I looked for my clubs but then had to walk back to the bag drop and carry them down. I was directed to a cart to put them on and given a buzzer which I was told would go off. They old me I could go to the resturant if I wanted. No mention of a warm up range, hence no warm up. I joined a three some and they did not ask if we wanted to double up.

The course was in good sharp but the greens had just been punched. The fairways were in good condition. It is a good challenging layout and prices for a round are on the high end.

There was nobody ahead or behind so the round played in well under 4 hours which is always a pleasure.

Great track to play. Open fairways and George out views makes it a pleasant course to play. Greens were in amazing shape.

Had an amazing day of golf at Desert Willow. The course was in superb condition -- greens were fast and true, and the fairways were immaculate. Visually stunning course -- also playable for mid-handicappers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Got the round in in just over 4 hours -- refreshing to play a resort course at a good pace.

Enjoyed the manicured desert surroundings without houses, the wildlife, beverage service, wide open fairways for tee shots, water features, and bunker sand.

Another example of an over-zealous course marshall ruining your golf experience.

We paired up with another two-ball and played front nine in a 2 hour pace. Messages on our cart to pick up play, course marshall requesting we catch the group ahead, then stalking us less than a hole later.

We had dropped perhaps a half hole behind due to an errand shot from one of our group on a hole. We had re-caught the golfers ahead within the next hole and a half. Skipped 19th hole as we weren't feeling the love. There are plenty of choices of spend my golfing dollars without getting the bum's rush!

First time we play this amazing course. A great experience with greens in best condition an a fantastic experience for all hcp levels. Our round took 4 hours to play. Best course we have played in the Palm area including lovely Shadow Ridge.

The course is scenic, playable. Staff is friendly. Pace of play was great.

This is a beautiful and fairly challenging course. We were paired with a fairly beginner couple and played in just under two hours. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely play here again!

It was our first time playing in Palm Springs area and glad that we played Desert Willow. It was about a 100 degrees the day we played at the end of September and the course was a little brown but it was very scenic and they take great care of it. The staff took great care of us and there was plenty of water out on the course.

I played the mountain course for the first time. The course is getting ready for overseed so they are not keeping the greens up to normal conditions. They were very bumpy and slow. The course is very pretty and each hole is separate from the other. When you are on the course, you feel like you're out in a rural area it's so unique. No housing impees on the course. Very nice.

Great conditions, rough extremly thick

Love this course, this was my second time playing here and now I see way a wanted to play it again. Great layout, good greens and just like the fist time very friendly staff.

Arrived early to use the practice facilities which were terrific. Full driving range, chipping green and putting green. The Mountain course did not have sandtraps for practice which would be nice with the amount of sand on the course. The round itself was almost perfect. A few of the fairways where recently aerated which left quite a few little dirt plugs through out the fairway. But there was enough room to the sides that you could effectively miss these areas without affecting the play of the hole. The greens were aerated a few weeks ago and played a wee bit slow but rolled pretty true. There are a couple of blind shots so pay attention to the gps on the cart. The staff could not have been any better, extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely play this course again and recommend it to all that come to our desert.

The course was in very good condition. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of water and ice available throughout the course. Pace of play was great! I teed of alone at 9:30 and was done by Noon. Two groups let me play through. Greens were true but a little slow. Despite the heat of the desert summer the course has been maintained well. A must play!

It gets me mad when there is no indication on Golfnow that greens have been recently punched. It was virtually impossible to put on these greens from more than 3 feet. Some courses will give warning but others just want to suck you in.

Having played Desert Willow Mountain View course once before in the winter, my expectations were high. It's a greet track, the staff is excellent and the course conditions were awesome. Not so much this summer.

Staff remains great, friendly, and attentive, but the course conditions were horrendous. Maintenance crews were working on probably every other hole. Every green had sustained significant damage. Bottom line, they probably ought to close the Mountain View course for about a month to get it into a playable condition.

I would play this course in the winter, but not the summer.
