Kelly Plantation Golf Club

We’ve played here many times as a twosome. Myself and brother are 12 handicap. Paired with two 20 plus handicap. Fine with us. 4th time last 7 days different courses. 3rd hole marshal pulls up and tells us we are way behind. 3rd hole. I ask how far behind we could be behind after 2 holes. He said 5 to 7 minutes. We sped up with one of the players just teeing off and picking up. There is no one on the tee box behind us we are now a hole ahead and our screen sends an alert to sped up or skip a hole. From 11 on we waited to tee off on every box including a 25 minute wait on 18 where there was four groups on the box. We played the front in 2 hours 7 minutes. The back took 3 hours. Very poorly ran golf course. Expect 5 plus hour round. If you are a high handicap they will take your money but will be rude to you on the course

Have not played the course in 10 years. I have always heard great things about for years. So when the opportunity came up to play, we made it priority. Sad to say when we pulled up, the guy loading our clubs told us up front we were about to be disappointed. Said the manager had been fired and course was not what it use to be. We played anyway. Got behind a 3 some that were beginning to play for the first time. Marshall’s came around 2 times bc we were getting backed up. On hole number 12, we had 2 groups in front of us on the same hole. Us (2 players) and we had 2 more groups behind us. We finally left. Crab grass everywhere! Course was terrible shape. Greens where decent but for $160.00 you expect better.

From bag drop to the pro shop every employee goes out of there way to treat you to a 5 star experience. The course itself is prestige. Best greens in the area and great variety of holes. Very playable from forward tees also for inexperienced golfer but a challenge from the back at around 7,00 yards. Bartender and member after the round were also great!! Favorite and best course on the emerald coast by far!

Kelly Plantation is a great golf course. We had a great time and the course was in good shape. Friendly staff; not much more you could ask for in a course.

Their recent renovations and really improved the look of the course.

I highly recommend, if you're looking for a great and challenging course in the Destin area.

The 1st seven holes they have you teeing off from in between the boxes because they re-sodded the tees. This gave a lot of goofy stances and distances. Discount was not offered for this inconvenience. Once the got past the holes with temporary tees, the next few holes had aerated greens, which was frustrating. Once you get past the tee boxes, the course was beautiful and had a nice challenging layout. Would definitely recommend to play when the course is fully operational.

The staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, and courteous. Pace of play was fast and the course was in good shape. Thy recently did work to the tee boxes, but they explained it up front.

Really enjoyed playing Kelly Plantation! The greens were in great shape. I did not realize some of the tees were temporary until we got on the course and I certainly understand that it happens. overall my son and I enjoyed the course and had a great time. Seems like there should be a junior rate

Great speedy greens! A few temporary tees did not hinder the round. Friendly staff, great range and water stations every 3 holes had us humming along! Highly recommended to play here, ASAP!!

I have always loved playing at Kellys and this time was no different. Weather was good and the greens were also nice. . . . however, they had recently sodded the tee boxes on over half of the holes, so you had to hit just ahead or just behind the ones under repair. The downside on two were that you are hitting off a downslope or upslope, and on another par 3 it was 79 yards. Still had a good time, but would have liked to have known what I was dealing with prior to the round. . . or at least a free hot dog or discount. Overall, really nice though.

Kelly plantation was an OK golf course. was fine. The difficulty factor was not anything major. However, we should’ve been told that the tee boxes were under repair and not playable. That took away from the round quite a bit.
