Kelly Plantation Golf Club

This was my first time playing KPGC. The course was very nice, especially the greens. The clubhouse was lovely with an ample selection of food items, snacks, and drinks. The pro shop had a variety of apparel selections. Just a few items of note that took away from the experience. First, there is a $35 rider fee for my wife riding in the cart with me. The greens fee are expensive enough without getting hit with another $35 fee. I saw nothing on Golf Now or on the KPGC website indicating this extra fee. Second, we were told there would be a beverage and snack cart riding the course. There wasn’t. Finally, they advertise their cold apples. There wasn’t any apples.

This was the first time playing Kelly Plantation. The course was very nice and has a great layout. Course was in good shape overall even though they had recently re sodded some of the tees.

The staff we interacted with were all very nice and helpful. You can tell they take pride in their job and the customer is important to the business. Makes a huge difference in whether or not I replay a course or not if the staff are friendly or just don't seem to care one way or the other. This was definitely not the case as everyone from the clubhouse staff, cart staff and starter were all friendly.

Pace of play was great as we played later afternoon and was never held up or pushed by anyone. Played in 4 hours.

Fairways were in good shape except for an occasional worn spots, greens were good as well except for a couple greens having a bare spot or two.

Definitely will return to play.

Definitely not the course it use to be. The greens were slow slow in comparison to what I was use to in the past. The difference between the fairway and rough was not even noticeable. I know large bunkers take lots of labor and time, but at this price you shouldn't have to rake a bunker for yourself before hitting a shot. Kinda makes me think that the course is set up for members now, rather than someone wanting to come and play a challenging round of golf. I expect much more from such a high price course.

Course was in decent shape but would not recommend paying 200 bucks to play here. Go on out to Regatta Bay and hit out of the purest fairways in destin for half the price of this place! Tee boxes had new sod but an awful job. Staff was rude, club house was run down and shut down at 2:30 due to an event. Definitely overrated on Golf Now. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

Course was in decent shape. greens were a bit slower that what we usually play. Staff was nice, only saw the cart girl once. Most hole had some forgiveness for the errant shot.

Fast and true greens, but also fair. Really enjoyed playing on them and putted well. They were the best in the 30a destin area by a lot. The scenery and layout is nice but not the nicest in the area. There aren’t as many holes on the water as I expected from the initial pictures. Lots of military planes flying around and a busy causeway on the open water holes so not exactly quiet. That said, really nice course. I’d go back for sure.

Enjoyed my play there a fun layout and condition was good not great. To bring it to the great level would mean the fairways could stand to be little more lush. All in all I enjoyed the layout

For the price of the green fee, Kelly Plantation is 100 percent over rated. The two courses I played the day before were in better conditions and managed better.(San Destin, Links, Raven) Kelly Plantation , has a wonderful practice facilities, and clubhouse and that’s it.. But what absolutely ruined my experience was playing 5 holes in 2:14 hours waiting anywhere from 10-20 minutes between swings. Marshall came by and stated they had 250 golfers playing. Literally save your time and money and head to any of the many other top courses in the area. The only thing your paying for is the Kelly Plantation, name!

Once again nothing but outstanding service from the pro shop, starter, bag attendants and cart girl. We play this course everytime we come to Destin and their attention to making you feel that you are a member there is second to none. Thanks again to everyone at Kelly Plantation for making our group outing another memorable time!!!

I was expecting a lot nicer course for the price they charged. But over all was in pretty good shape.

Kelly Plantation is an excellent course with superb service. The course is challenging but fair, and can give any level of player a fair test. I always look forward to playing here and getting the superior service.

The weather was beautiful yesterday. Had a great time. Staff was friendly and attentive. I plan to play another round soon.
