Kelly Plantation Golf Club

Friendly range Marshall kind of gave us free reign as it was a slow day in December. Let us hit range balls well after our tee time as there was no one behind us. That was nice. We didn’t see anyone until we caught up to a few 4somes on the back nine. All course crew and grounds crew pulled over and were respectful when crossing your field of view. Nice pro shop. I was impressed on the condition the course was in in mid December.

Freddie has made Kelly Plantation into a fine golf course. This is a challenging and fun track to play.

I will definitely be back in the near future to play Kelly Plantation again. Great service and staff too. Thank You!!!

I read other reviews that talked about bare fairways and greens that were hard as a rock and didn’t hold. I didn’t see that at all. The fairways were in good shape as far as the shots I played. I also found that the greens held my incoming shots, and I don’t spin my ball as much as some do. I found the staff to be friendly, and they made me feel comfortable. Although it isn’t cheap; none of the other better courses in the area are either. Overall, an enjoyable round.

Honestly it was not the best course we played over the weekend. Members were rude but the staff was very nice. Greens were in good shape but overall condition was average. Would play again but only if I couldn’t get in at burnt pine.

I played three courses while visiting in Florida and Kelly’s plantation was the best experience and layout I experienced. We played Sharks tooth and Bay point and they were nice but couldn’t match the fun and setting of The plantation. The staff was friendly and the golf course was in fabulous shape. It is definitely worth the greens fee and is a must play if you’re in the panhandle.

Wow. I heard Kelly golf was the best in the area, and as a beginner golfer I was expecting to feel a bit out of my element. Holy cow the course was SO nice and fun. As a beginner it really blew my mind seeing what golf courses can be like. Course was perfect from my perspective.

The staff was SO incredible, helped me through a VERY embarrassing situation (one I was debating even to tell my family it was so embarrassing, but kind of funny), making me feel ok about it, and also let me bring my support dog as kind of a special circumstances since it was a slow day and he stays in the cart.

Today I got to play the nicest course I’ve ever played, and bring my dog… not sure it gets much better

Even though it was a little cool, the course was in great condition and my wife and I enjoyed the round . We ate in the club house before our round and the food and service was excellent……..as always !!

Nice people that great you when you arrive. Pro shop staff friendly as well as the starter.

Course conditions where okay. Greens beat up but fast. Fairways where wet in spots but it did rain the day before. Layout was boring for the most part, a few good par 3’s.

First I would like to say that we have played Kelly no less than 50 times! EVERY time it is in immaculate condition! The fairways are lush and the greens roll true! Beautiful scenery and Clubhouse. The new updates are fabulous. It’s a true value for the price! Nothing like a summer evening sitting on the veranda outback, sipping a frosty cocktail and watching the golfers finish on 18! An ah-ha moment! Next I want to speak of a young man that has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to accommodate my golf group but also my husband and I! He always goes above and beyond to for our tee time, greets us when we arrive and signed a flag for my husband when he made his FIRST Hole-In-One at Kelly! He follows up to make sure we had a nice time and checks on pace of play! I can’t say enough about this hard working young man! All of the staff are very hard working and a friendly smile to welcome you. The dining room serves delicious meals or maybe you just need an appetizer! They will make it happen. I love Kelly!

The course was great but, it took us 5 hours to play 18 holes. If you want to enjoy the course and take your time then golf after noon time. If you want to enjoy the course but stay in some type of rythm golf in the morning.

I have played semi public courses in California to Georgia. The experience at Kelly plantation was the Very best we’ve ever had. Kelly plantation course facilities and personnel cannot be beat. Very well worth the extra money do you enjoy this experience!
